Homemade chopper

started out as one of these.
http://img.alibaba.com/photo/1006674...re_Bicycle.jpg

i added forks from a mountain bike, a little fender. A handle bar mount, bike pegs for foot pegs. took off the pedals and spocket.
heres that:

Now i know the pics are bad, ihad the cam in the wrong mode.
Painted and pinstriped it.

you cant see the pins. in this pic, but they are yellow and in a sweet design.
I have a welder now and have welded a sprocket on to the 32cc engine and went home dep and ot what i need to mount it. found the actual monkey bike tire and am using that for the back tire now too. oh AND got a speedometer for it. shold have this thing all welded and mounted tomorrow with everything and all done. i will the post finished pics and maye even a running movie.

Re: Homemade chopper

Dude, that's crazy! Does it run pretty well? The front pegs on the forks might be a problem when turning, but man, that's kinda cool. Hmmm......... might want to think about putting one of the "banana"-style seats on it, run the rear bar down to the rear axle. Just a thought ... DEFINITELY get a video, if you can.

Here's a thought: since you've got a welder and apparently know how to use it, why not make a recumbent chopper? Make a tube frame big enough for you to lay back in, use a larger rear tire (Idk, like a 20" MX tire?), and maybe a smaller wheel up front, like a 16". Get some apehanger handlebars, some footpegs, the motor attached behind or under the seat, and you should be ready to roll, dude. If you have several old bikes, just chop 'em up for parts, maybe go down to Home Depot and pick up a little extra tubing.

I wish I'd learned to weld ......... been regretting not learning how for the past twenty years ....

Re: Homemade chopper

This custom homemade mini chopper he built from scratch. He has taken his custom homemade mini chopper on many rides and has really made people turn their heads when they see this custom homemade mini chopper coming down the street. He has also driven this custom homemade mini chopper to school and presented it in a local car show. He put a lot of time, energy, and careful calculations into the production of this custom homemade mini chopper. He did all the math for the sprocket size to ensure good high-end speed but enough torque to get around off the pavement.
