Spark Problems

OK HEARE I GO I HAVE A 50 CC 4 STROKE CHOPPER THE SILVER ONE LOOKS LIKE A MINI FAT BOY..WHEN I GOT IT IT HAD NO SPARK..SO I STARTED WITH A NEW CDI STILL NO SPARK. CHANGED THE REGULATOR NO SPARK. CHANGED THE COIL NO SPARK. NEW BATTERY.NO SPARK. CHANGED THE STATER AND PICK UP...NO SPARK. CHANGED THE WIRE HARNESS NO SPARK,, SO BUY NOW IM GETTING VERY UPSET..I DO HAVE MECHANIC EXPERIENCE .IN MY SPARE TIME I BUILD DRAG CARS SO IM NOT A COMPLEAT DUMMY....SO NOW I CALL 5 OTHER SHOPS THAT SELLS CHOPPER PARTS AND NO ONE KNOWS NOTHING..OH YA I CHANGED THE ALARM SYSTEM TO. STILL NO SPARK.. SO NOW I SAID THE HECK WITH IT ILL MAKE MY OWN WIRE HARNES. I WIRED IT UP LIKE THE DIAGRAM HEAR IN THE LINK BELOW. IT IS THE FIRST DIAGRAM ON THE PAGE.

http://www.hooperimports.com/showpages.asp?pid=1013

SO I WIRE IT UP LIKE THE DIAGRAM . NOW THIS IS WEARD..WHEN I GROUND THE BLACK AND WHITE WIRE WHICH IS THE SWICH WIRE .THAT GOES TO THE CDI. WHEN I TURN THE MOTOR OVER AND TAP THE WIRE ON A GROUND I GET A SPARK BUT IF I JUST HOLD IT ON THE GROUND I GET NO SPARK..COULD SOME BODY SHED SOME LITE FOR ME. SOMETHING IS A MIS HEAR..OH YA I CHANGED THE CDI 3 TIMES..DO I NEED THE ALARM SYSTEM FOR IT TO RUN..I NEED HELP THIS THING IS DRIVING ME CRAZY IM READY TO BURN IT

Re: Spark Problems

sounds like the black and white would be for a push button to ground out type of kill switch and grounding it out shuts down the ignition. you should have spark without having it grounded I believe. If it doesn't spark with it solidly grounded, it should have spark without touching the frame at all.

Re: Spark Problems

Hey, Have you checked to see if those wires coming off the kill switch are inded grounds? you may want to take a VOM meter and Ohm out those wires, also while you are at it I would pull the posotive battery terminal and and check all of my positive leads for shorts with the VOM. Next how good is the engine ground? One last thing is there an Ignition toggle or keyed ignition switch? Can you post a pic of your bike
