100 feet and tops out


sup guys,my cag at about 100 feet it tops out making like a sputering sound,a friend said it might be too rich, is there a needle i can adjust or i'll have to open up the carb and change the jet to a more smaller number,and were can i find these jets online,thanks in advance.

You can change the needle settings by the part that is screwed on top of the carb, right next to the fuel line, there is a metal circle thing on top of the carb, unscrew it with a 13-15 mm wrench, cant tell which, and then pull it out, then push the gold needle in and flip it over until the stuff comes out, but rememeber which way it came out so you can install it later....then after that, you move up and down, If you want lean, go to the point nearest to the tip of the needle, if you want rich, go to the bottom.....and then install everything again, you can buy a jetpack from scooterparts4less.com

wouldnt the clip nearest the tip be the richest, cuz the needle will be pulled out farther than if you put it in the clip at the end.

I might have to go out and put the clip at the other end of the needle...

You're right BlueR1Cag- The position on the needle that is closest to the pointed end is the richest part. The Lean positions are towards the blunt end. DaytonaMX- Shame on you!

oh, I was pretty close though.....haha, sorry, I got my info from two others....SHAME ON THEM.....you guys kno who you are....lol, good luck, plus the place is called
