12:1 gear ratio

ok I'm looking to get my bike running a 12:1 gear ratio with a 5t pinion and a 60t sprocket for small tracks. I know you can get a TGN 5t pinion from davemotors.com but its "non-metric" threads. I'm not willing to spend buying the TGN clutch bell and *optional TGN 3rd bearing support just to run the 5t pinion.

I've heard that its going to be hard on my #25 chain but I don't care lol. I've seen some people run it on scooters and they seem to last on #25 chains.

so if someone can point me out to the right direction on where I can get a hold of 5 tooth pinion gears (metric) PM me, thanks.

i think the 5t pinion is asking for trouble. the stock 6t really binds the chain, i think 5 would be horrible. why not run a 6/72. that is a 12.1 gear ration also. and you only have to buy a sprocket/chain instead of all three. just my opinion. good luck

demps that isnt really a good combo 5 60 ? Try something like 6 72.
