nice write up , you seem to say that it would be worth the cost . From what i gatherd you would also venture to say it makes more torque ? after 6 months of rideing i can say there is darn near no torque in this engine ,which is my biggest problem as there is absoluetly no grunt pulling out of corners or off the line....

Since you mentioned it should work nicely with ADA's 44mm kit ill add that reed kit to janaurys parts list for the engine rebuild ....I wanna scare myself silly on this thing .....

Well the torque on stock cags from a standstill position isn't too bad. The setup I have right now, is designed in a way, if you keep your revs up coming into and out of the corners, the bike performs quite nicely. It shoots you out ofthe corner. Hmmm..a good comparison...let see, the way the cag is setup now, you really can't WOT in the corners because it does have pretty good power. Is that a better visualization for you? Just tryin to help you see the power.

With a good headkit, this setup will perform great. I just did a dual boost port and ported the exhaust on the SY head, so hopefully I'll get to test it out soon. Everything is all bolted up and ready togo. Just gotta head out to the track again. Too bad there isnt' any tracks near me.

I rode my 1st race with the ADA reed kit & ported stock carb last Sunday. Have their head kit (13/1), ported cylinder added boast port , modified piston, jetpro pipe, ported cases, rocket key and other mods. Went from usual 3 or 4th place to 2nd in both races. The reed set up diffently helped as the 1st place rider out rode me by a long shot. I am 64 yrs old & not limber enough to be able to get my feet up on the pegs correctly so have a problem on the corners with my feet hitting the ground. I led both races for most of the way as the bike was great out of the hole but toward the end the really good rider would finally catch me. Anyway the ADA reed kit is super as is their head kit. I give them both a thumbs up! I run Dellorto jets & ended up with a # 72 main.

Wow, 64! Its great to see our "seniors" ride with us. Its great for the sport.

I'd recommend swapping out that jetpro pipe, and install either the IP2, Pacsales race pipe thats sold by ADA, or even the jetpro high rev pipe (I haven't tested out either the high rev or pacsales pipe). I have a feeling your pipe was limiting you from getting higher RPMs. I just installed the IP2 pipe because I need a higher top end. The bike setup that I had is great, but I think the top end could use a little bit more help.

Great to see your bike is doing well with the ada kit's. They do make great quality products.

Can with a ported head and ip2 pipe your cag is gonna be insane! how about a video or something? you going to the track this weekend? Mani would sneak it down the road quick to see whats shes got, which makes me a bad role model i guess.

So, this is what you were doing while the rest of us were racing, eh? You owe us some seat time.

I live in the Pomona area & belong to a large sportbike club. We have a once a month pocketbike race. I also race at Amago near San diego, & the races at Silverado Cyn in orange county.
