Seems like we had a lot of new guys join this site lately. Besides all the great info that you guys will find on this site, there is also a lot of great info on the web to be found. The link below is one of the best resources I found for you guys looking to learn more about reading spark plugs, mixing oil/fuel ratios, porting carbs, changing jetting anything else that you could think of doing to a pocket bike. The site was intended for larger motorcycles, but all the info can be applied to 2 and 4 stroke engines of all sizes and applications. So all you NEWBIES be sure to check this site out, and also do some searches on PBP, and remember that if you can't find what you need just ask! Be sure to check out our "HOW-TO" section above too!

Ritchey, I like what you have done mate, the more info that is available means that more are people informed and that can only mean better decisions are made collectively. What i'd like to see is a fixed and big flashing button to the howto's when you enter a forum. I have cruised this forum for a while now and my post count is way up there, but even i have not read all the stickys. Probably the main reason is, i click the 'new posts" button too often and dont cruise by forum, i like em all. Do you think a sticky "how-to' button up there next to newpost or something will solve many of these "where is my kickstarter" issues? hey, it could even make us write a few.

For some reason everyone seems to think tuning a carb is just real easy. Change a jet or two and boom, your there. Yeah, right ! There are quite literally millions and millions of jet combinations. A rough check on Bing carbs shows there are at least 13,860,000 different combinations of jets. If you are going to change carbs you'd better be prepared to spend some time and money on the job.
yes newbie here and that did help some, i just want to know where to buy a freakin bike i've seen all these sites on info about them now where to buy? I'm lookin at spending $600 maximum any sites BESIDES the cheap knock off's looking to rip someone off. Please pm if you know of any legit sites that sell PB's. thank you
1. this is a very old post. 2. Most of those sites aren't trying to rip you off because some sell for 200$. 3. The cheapest non knockoff bike that you can buy new is the blata 2.5 which sells for 800$-1100$ or something from sendai but i'm not sure if they're in the us anymore, other than that you either have to buy cheap or if you want a brand name used.
