they don't mix water with it they supplement it with ethanol. here in lubbock at 3200 ft the ranges are 86,89,91. and we still pay about the same for our 'premium' when it really is only mid grade. also remember that midgrade is made by mixing low grade and premium. cheers

Here in philadelphia Sunoco carries 94 octane at there pumps. They dont advertise it on there sighns but its there. I cant imagine who buys it though. it Must sit in the tanks for months.

I'm running 93 octane right now for my tests and my enigne is making 14.3:1 compression. There are zero signs of detonation. You will not be able to run 15:1 on pump gas without adding an octane booster. I can only run pump in mine b/c I have set my plug to the correct specs and the head is capable of dissapating enough heat to prevent spontaneous combustion. I don't know if these heads are capable of doing that on pump gas. When I go to the track and race I only run VP110 race gas, that's 110 octane for those of you who don't race. In racing conditions the engine is being pushed to it's limits for extreme periods of time and simply running pump gas is just asking for problems under those circumstances.

yeah i lived in germany for 4 years and it was pretty much the same as sweden. $60 bucks wouldn't fill up a mid-size family sedan. lol

Spontaneous combustion??? Not likely....maybe a pile of gas soaked rags. I think the term you were looking for was pre-ignition......the air/fuel mixture being ignited before the spark plug fires.

Pre ignition, spontaneous combustion pretty much the same thing, the gas is igniting without a flame source. The cylinder walls and head if not cooling fast enough can superheat the fresh unburnt fuel/air charge and actually ignite the mixture spontaneously before the sparkplug is fired. That's all I was trying to say, maybe a poor choice of words on my part. Eitehr way that describes the process of engine detonation.

it will but id suggest getting a pipe anyway or modding yours. With higher compression you move your powerband a little lower so your bike gets on the pipe quicker so you have better throttle response and increased overall power

What spark plug comes with this kit? The hole in the dome looks small.
With this head kit and an 4petal reed kit what exhaust would you recommend?
