Bike is almost dead now

ok, all of you know me as the guy who keeps posting, i know, i know. This bike is more than i bargained for, the top fairing came broke, the pull starter is split in half and all tangled up, the clear tube opening coming out of the carb leaks every bit of gas in the tank out, and wont stop, and lastly my engine dies at almost full throttle every time. Also, my spark plug keeps leaking blackish fluid too. Plz Help!!!

1.) Buy a new fairing.
2.) Buy a new pull start and be gentle next time.
3.) Leaking gas- Clean out your entire carburetor (especially the float needle inside of the bowl)
4.) Engine failure- Yes probably because of the dirty carb.
5.) The black fluid is unburned oil, a symptom of running rich.

Inspect the reeds and make sure they are sealing up all the way still and reset the float in the carb by adjusting the float fork by bending it down a lil more so the fuel shuts off earlier and it doesnt keep flowing...........Peace

Re: Bike is almost dead now

The reeds are attached to the black plastic intake that the carb is attached to...remove the carb and then remove the 4 hexhead screws that hold the intake on...after you remove the intake youll see the reeds attached to it.Check to see if the petals are tight to its mount with no air gaps or light shining through on the edges and the petals arent warped or fractured...Peace
