Angry Bike Keeps Turning Off After Installing Jetpro Exhaust

Well heres the deal i just bought a new jetpro pipe and put it on my bike and now it wont stay on. What i mean is that first i put a ported carb and it ran great then a couples of days later i got my jetpro pipe and put it on and thats when the problem started. It will turn on but it wont stay on unless u give it some throttle(a lil gas). And it sounds like its running kind of rough.Does anyone what it could be. Almost forgot my bike is a cag.

Take off your exhaust and blow through it with your mouth. See if the air comes out the other side. Could be clogged....

Have you tried giving it more gas with the idle screw.

trus me from experiecnce, that pipe is stuffed full of packing paper, you need to clean it out! It's in there good, it's easily overlooked when installing the pipe. Trust me!

Are you serious? there's a lot of packing in the pipes? I pulled them out of the box, ripped off the plastic and bolted them on. Do they over pack the pipes to muffle the sound down?

I bought 2 jetpros and put them on and at first both bikes started out great but then the next day, they wouldnt even start. in my situation i think it may have been the fuel lines (hose claps on too tight) because my fuel filters weren't filling up and the bike kept on stalling once i finally turned over. I ended up spending a lot of time adjusting the mixture screws and finaly got things running. I expected the bike to pick up a little better than it does, but the ride is acceptable once the bike warms up.

Maybe I will take off the pipes this weekend and use a hanger to pull out the packing. Is that the idea?

This should be basic trouble shooting man! I installed my Jetpro and found no extra packing material in the pipe. My bike started first pull. I did have to adjust me idle. Remember right = higher idle and left = lower idle.

If all else fails then put your other pipe back on and see if the problem still exists.

Pipe kicks a$$ but I do have to say it was made worse then a "Ching Chong China Pipe". My pipe leaked at all the connections and I had to grind down all the inner welds to remove pockets where exhaust flow would be restricted. But finally I am happy cause this pipe performs well!!!

Needle and Jet?

Did you adjust your needle and change your jet? Use the search function, this has been discussed before.

No, you misunderstood me, I'm not talking about the fiberglass silencer packing. I'm refering to the shreaded newspaper that they stick in these pipes when they ship them to help prevent dents. That **** get clogged at the very top of the pipe near he silencer and it's **** near impossible to see. You need to push it out from the silencer towards the head of the pipe. I'm not joking I jest wittnessed this happen the other day!

Ok, gotcha. I pulled off my pipe today and it was pretty hollow inside so i was wondering what you meant. I ordered 2 pipes from DDM and they both came in their own sealed plastic bags inside the paper packed box.

For me, i just had to fiddle around with tuning screws and now both bikes run great. Definitely the one with the 603 was a pain in the a$$ but i think i got it pretty stable.
