Exclamation Bike won't start ... please help ...

Ok, well I was riding my bike yesterday (parking lot riding) just scrapin my left knee around some cones, I can't get the right knee quite yet, and then I decided I wanted to go on a little high speed run, and went down a road about a 1/4 mile long (this is a closed road, not public) ... and of course, at the VERY end of the road, my bike shut off, and I was not able to get it started, so i carried it the 1/4 mile back, and then went home and closed it up in the garage.

Today I went to check my bike out again, and of all things I decided to look in the gas tank ... completely empty down to the last drop. I filled the tank up with gas, and the bike still WILL NOT start ... could trying to start the bike without gas in it mess something up? Now when I try to start the bike, the engine doesn't even sound like it wants to start ...

It'd be great if you guys could help me out here, I really want to get some riding in before it starts to get freezing and snowing outside ...

Thanks Alot
peace
COREY

check ya spark. It may have cause so much heat that the spark plug prolly gave no sparks. Cause my friend(180lb fat guy) rode my bike and it bogged like hell till i got a new plug.

there isnt a primer bulb. Turn petcock to on position and take off float bowl and see if fuel comes out. if it does pull plug out and insert it into the boot and hold the prong on the cylinder head and pull the starter and see if there is a spark. Even if there is a spark it may not be enough to start it but highly doubtful that is it.

then either your petcock or the channel the fuel flows through on your carb is clogged..most likely the petcock

if u were ridding WOT = wide open throttle and u ran out of fuel you possable could have melted your piston from a big gush of air

180lbs is fat? **** im in trouble.

"melted your piston from a huge gush of air"...somehow i don't think that's the problem.

clog somewhere my guess. Ran it down to empty at WOT so all the plastic chips in the bottem of the tank got sucked into your carb. or didn't make it and clogged the petcock.
