Blata's are actually smaller than CAGs? By how much? I thought they were all the same size, Blata's, CAGs, Polini's etc...

Cags im pretty sure are also considered mini's. I thought mid bikes where the x2's x1s and such with the piston skirt engines and lights, blinkers, etc?

blata 2.5's are considered "ultra-mini's" one of the smallest of the pocketbikes. seat height is lower by 2 to 4 inches and frame lenght is smaller by 3 to 5 inches. (depending if the 6.5 conversion has been done to the 2.5)

cags are considered mini's...

Could you explain the conversion?? Are Cags and Blata elites the same size?

well the conversion is basically changing the stock wheels of a blata 2.5 into a 6 1/2" wheel (new 2.5's have the option of getting the 6.5's installed already) http://www.pocketbikeplanet.com/atta...achmentid=3958

stock blata 2.5 wheels
http://www.pocketbikeplanet.com/atta...achmentid=5116

you can check out my gallery for the conversion that I did on my bike (black bike) both 2.5's are converted...

new blata 2.5 with 6.5 stock
http://www.pocketbikeplanet.com/atta...achmentid=6688

remember cag's are replicas of the real deal...
cag HF looks like this blata elite 13 (Vbp6us's bike) hope you don't mind?
http://www.pocketbikeplanet.com/atta...achmentid=4056

cag FF look the same as GRC's (can't find a pic) but you get the idea...

I agree & disagree, blatas, cags, GRCs, Polinis, etc. are not all the same size. The Blata 2.5s are ultra minis even with the 6.5" wheel conversion. The Blata Elite13s and Elite11s are definitely minis and the B1 origami is the biggest of the midis out there. I consider the Polini 910s a toss up between the ultra minis and mini, closer to the ultra mini in my book, too small for me and I prefer minis. Polini 911s are midis. Cags are not all mini or all midis. The HF cags are definitely minis but there are HF cags with the longer wheelbase that are closer to midi size, the FF cags are closer to midi size but not quite there. I can go on but that's too many bikes to list.

HF cags are no where near the same as blata 2.5. I've owned both you can tell the difference from a mile away!

I totally agree with you zero4 about the sizes. they just never asked about the other bikes I usually determine the size of the bike by the height of the seat (IMO) I also agree that there are way too many bikes to list! lol

I need to correct myself about the FF vs. HF being in the mini size (I haven't haven't been on my cags in awhile) HF sits lower then a FF. try riding a HF for one heat at the track, then jump on to a FF. the FF will feel much bigger. HF feels more like a mini and the FF feels more like a midi as far as seat height.

Why would anyone wanna buy a Blata 2.5 unless they are like 11 years old and 4 feet tall.................to each his own I suppose.............
It dosent matter the size smaller is better! Power to wait ratio *****es.....I can smoke a cag on the long run... but it gets me by about half a bike lane on thke off.

I assume you're talking about your blata 2.5 smoking cags? helpful hint to a blata 2.5 owner, adjustable racing clutch, dellorto 14/14SHA, 4 petal reed cage, and 04 pipe (if you haven't got that already?)

then you'd have no problem and pull all ranges of the powerband... TADA!

6.5 conversion, let me see if I can clear up some headache... lol

there are 3 ways you can do this...
1. just make a spacer between the front rim and brake rotor.
2. get the whole front end of a cag (forks, triple mounts, brakes, etc...).
3. get the whole front end of a blata elite 13 or any other bike with similar front ends and 6.5 wheels. (I'd rather go with the cag parts lol).

the rear is simple swap but the front may take a bit more work. I went with the complete cag front. I also flipped forks backwards so it wouldn't hit the lower part of the fairing to give you about a 1" to 1 1/2" space. if you decide to not flip it, just cut some of the fairing until it isn't rubbing anymore...

if you go with the spacer, just remove the rotor on the front cag 6.5 rim add a spacer (*option - may need slightly longer bolts) spacer must be matched, just enough for the rotor not to rub on the brake shoes.

you'll notice that you can't swap the sprocket or front and back rotors from the 2.5 over to the cag rim as a direct bolt on, vise versa. and if you plan on using the same one "suggestion" don't make the hole bigger, just make new holes...

hope this clears it up

I agree with the 910 being borderline Ultra mini/mini but it handles like a dream
