Blown engine... finally.

So, some of you saw my scored up piston and head. Well, it slowly got worse, til today, where it won't even run anymore. I've been looking around locally for a parts bike, but everything is so 'spensive...

I found this on eBay.

Mini Pocket Bike / ATV Engine 51CC With Deltoro Carb on eBay.ca (item 190346922064 end time 04-Dec-09 12:18:15 EST)

Anyone heard anything about these engines? Or anyone own one? It's pretty decent priced, and oddly enough, it's even in Canada, which would save me on customs, and shipping.

Looks like a pretty good mill ... big bore kit, DellOrto carb, high-performance go-fast goodies on it ....

Fair warning, those big-bore kits are a beach to kick over without feeling like you're pulling your arm out of the socket ... high compression, hard start. Once you get 'em started though, it's all power ....

hmm... i didnt think of that. not that i mind. i used to landscape, and some of that equipment when it gets older can leave you exhausted by the time it fires up.

the price seems fair? i dunno what anything is worth on these things yet. i can't get a new head and cylinder for too much less, since locally it's all parts bikes or something like that.

in the mean time, however, can i just put my 47cc head and piston on my exsisting engine? or are the block and crank, etc, different? i've got a good head and piston sitting in a tupperware in my parts box...

I believe for $60 at minibikepartsnow.com you can get a 49cc HP Head,...
cylinder, ported piston, rings, pin & bearings, spark plug, etc. EPR!
