Boost Bottles Ya? Or Na?

I've seen em on a few sites for sale, and a few bikes with them on. Only problem is no one i know has one so i havent got any feedback. Let me know if ya tried one and if ya liked it, ill be putting mine on after walbro 668, will it fit with my ada manifold? Thanks you guy!

A buddy of mine made a home made one that worked. Nothing jaw dropping though and IMO you can do w/o it. On the other hand... PSWS here in Cali has the "Fastests Cags" and run em in production w/ the series 2 Italian bikes. They run boost bottles so I guess they do work and have been proven. I would save that mod till a lil later when you cant do anything else.

I am a pocket bike newbie, whats a boost bottle? Is it just the addition of a breather pipe for the petrol tank so the fuel flows better at high rpm/speed?

What the boost bottle does is take in any unburned air/fuel from one combustion and shoot it back in during the down stroke of your piston along with the fresh air/fuel comming into the cylinder. At least I think thats what it does. I know they work on Nitro R/C cars.

Boost Bottles, ya...

I made my own for an x2. 4" pvc pipe, with caps on both sides, 3/8" barbed fitting (3/8" threading) tapped into the manifold on one side, and 3/8 x 5/8 tubing about 4 inches long between the two. Works great. MFNS

Properly optimized boost bottles will give a noticeable low end improvement on piston port engines.

And what line off the carb do you plug into the bottle?

My 4 stroke 70cc doesent seem to have a fuel filter in the line either, should i add one?

Everyone who doesn't understand a boost bottle needs to reread this statement. It contains all of the information you need. PISTON PORT ENGINES.

Let me guess you are the one selling the OTB kits. Either pay to Advertise or stop posting the same crap over and over on multiple threads. For those considering buying a boost bottle here is a link to the article on how to make one http://www.pocketbikeplanet.com/showthread.php?t=416

**** this thread is old. and boost bottles don't work well (if at all) on case reed motors. they work best on piston port motors (a la midbikes).

Does anyone know why they don't work on reed motors? The first boost bottles I saw about 15 years ago were on reed valved 125cc motocross bikes. They were a popular aftermarket add on for the dirt bike crowd many years ago for a while.

Do small displacement reed engines have less pulse in the intake tract so the boost bottle doesent work as well?
