Cag. 3rd Bearing Clutch Housing outer case Mod.

I am building the second of my 2 Engs. for my Drag Bike, & I am going for
the gusto, all out!! So, I got 2 Housings, put 1 on my first eng. and it...
was Hard to Turn the pinnion, and it is on 2 bearings!! So, I took it Off,
& when you bolt the outer B. Case to the Housing it Binds the bearing...
cause the holes Do Not Line Up!! I had to Grind it Out Oblong towards
the center of the Case and Upward, till I could Bolt It Up, w/out........
Binding!! My Second One is the Same!!!
My chain is off the eng. & Now when Rev. it Up, & Hit the Kill Switch,
Your can Hear & See the Pinnion Spinning Fast, thats how you Know its
Fix!! So, before you install it after the Mods., do it as a Unit, Spin the
Pinnion Gear, it should fill like a Roller Skate Wheel!! Have Fun, EPR!

SpyGuy,
Man You are Fast, I never want to Race You!! I just posted this 2 mins.
Ago!! Anyway, You hold the housing Bell Down in Your Hand, Pick Up the
outer bearing case & put over the pinnion gear Pin & down on to the......
Housing and look into the two mounting holes, and you will see they DO
NOT Line Up!! Go get a Sharpie Marker and Draw a Half Circle in Black at
the Part of the Hole where the Threads are Hidden, Grind Alittle, see if it
Fits, Grind some More till it bolts on & and the gear spins Freely!!!
I probably power filed about .040 to .060 of an inch on each hole, I
made it Fit, other ones & different brands might be different spacing!!
It like Air Pressure in Your Tires, you change it until it Fits!!
Speaking of Air, I have a new Project, when I am done w/ the Drag
Bike!! I think You like this SG. I have 3 welders Arc, Mig, & Gas, &....
Yesterday, I was looking at the Oxy Tank, and thinging about a Salt Flat
Bike, with the frame built around this Oxy Tank, on the Salt Flats when
the give tye GO sign, the Crew Chief Knocks the Valve Off w/ a 10lb.
Hammer, and says: see you at the Other End, Gods Speed!! On the
return Run, Strap on a New Tank!! EPR!

LMAO - now THAT would be something to see!

Actually, what guys are doing lately with the oxy tanks are building gongs from them. You make ABSOLUTELY SURE that the tank is empty, and slice the bottom off it. Weld on a ring to the top, make a clapper for the inside, and hang it up. Check 'em out over at Hobart Welders.

Now, here's something you might want to try making just for fun. If you have one of the smaller tanks, why not make a little sidecar rig for your Cag? You can make an A-frame that bolts onto the bike, lay the tank on its side, and slice off a big section for the top of the sidecar. For the outrigger wheel, just use the front wheel from another Cag. (Hell, I might do this, and use one of those old steel washtubs ....)

Is third bearing support any benefit? To me it seems like more friction = loss of power.? While this may be extremely slight, it should still be so, no?

Thats so Crazy it Just Might Work, I was thinking about putting two
Cags. together side by side w/ a Bar Clamp system, so you can take it
Apart!!! EPR!

Well I am building a Twin Engine Cagllari Daytona, w/ Big Bore HP, w/
Full Circle Cranks, ported, polished, Tweaked!!!! I took the time to
fit each part by Hand, I can spin the pinnion gear easily so there is
Very Little drag, if the chain comes of the case protects your Leg
and I might run a NOS Kit!! EPR!
