okay i got a FUBAR cag today.... and got it started somewhat... i need quite a few things, like for one a complete exhaust pipe... the pervious owner took the exhaust pipe and broke the muffler off of it.. to make it sound FRIGGING ANNOYING>!... but i replaced the clutch on it... and when i go to start it, it is SUPER over revving.... so i tuned it to where it is kinda calmed down... and when i go to give it gas it has a Delay reaction to get gas to the engine and when i Disengage the throttle it takes a minute to react... how do i change the reaction time on it?
did you clean the carb real good and you might have an air leak at the carb or manifold and is the throttle lubed because if it isnt its probably getting stuck
and whats a FUBAR cag?
FUBAR = Eff'd Up Beyond All Recognition. Don't they teach you youngsters anything these days ...?
as Nirvash pointed out, your "delay-reaction" throttle may simply be a case of the throttle cable binding or sticking in the cable cover. Squirt some WD-40 down inside the cable cover.
What color's your spark plug? Did you clean the plug before you fired it up? If not, do it, get the bike running for a few moments, then shut it off and pull the plug again.
Yikes sorry bout the carpal tunnel nirvash, but if you don't mind gore or war I definitely recomend Saving Private Ryan, one of the best war movies out there.. nd thanx for the wd40 trick on my throttle cable spyguy, don't know why I never thought of that, gotta lov a different prospective now and again,
cheers
