drilling adj. jet question

i can't find those **** wire gauge drill bits people on here talk about. except on that 'auction site' and wigget somethin or other someone linked to.
How big can you drill the adj jet out to and still have it adjust?
smallest bit i have is 1/16" i know thats a hundred something in jet size but will the ajustable needle still adjust down to say 75?

Ps. finished my stock pipe mod got it all welded and it kicks ***, thanks to all the people that posted on that.

ebay is where I ordered mine

I think the following text is Zero4's:

The smaller the number the larger the bit size. (A 60 bit would be a 102 jet)

Jet sizes for mini-motos are measured in mm. A 60 jet is .60mm, 62 is .62mm, etc.

You can use wire gauge drill bits or the files to drill out the jet but you are limited to only a certain amount of sizes.

wire gauge = inch = mm = jet size
73 = .0240 = .6096 = 61
72 = .0250 = .6350 = 63.5
71 = .0260 = .6604 = 66
70 = .0280 = .7112 = 71
69 = .0295 = .7493 = 75
68 = .0310 = .7874 = 79

All the stock cag jets I've came across (and I have came across a lot) are just about a 63. There are reports of some stock jets being 60 and 68 but I've never seen one.
#73 = .0240 = .6096 = 61
#72 = .0250 = .6350 = 64
#71 = .0260 = .6604 = 66
#70 = .0280 = .7112 = 71
#69 = .0295 = .7493 = 75
#68 = .0310 = .7874 = 79
#67 = .0320 = .8128 = 81
#66 = .0330 = .8382 = 84
#65 = .0350 = .8890 = 89
#64 = .0360 = .9144 = 91
#63 = .0370 = .9398 = 94
#62 = .0380 = .9652 = 97
#61 = .0390 = .9906 = 99
#60 = .0400 = 1.016 = 102

You can get this, and not worry about the adjustable part of the jet:

Tblumer post the conversion table above.

Those are way too thick to use on jets. Its best to stick with Zero's wire gauge recommendation. The drill set link you provided, I believe, are waaaay too big.

I don't think they are too big...looks like a wire gauge set it's just a close-up picture. but **** $18. i can buy a set of jets for that price.
no-one on ebay that has the wire gauge bits are shipping to canada...

So what's the largest you can drill the adjustable jet if i wanted a 75 jet?

I have that exact set in my garage and it is fine... Its got every jet size youll ever need. There are only a few jumps in that set that would move the jet size .05mm up, but the rest are .02mm.

With a 2stroke mtr jetting is critical & will vary with air temp & humidity. Drilling out a jet makes it right for that moment but not always a week later. Stop screwing around & either buy a set of jets for the carb from an advertiser or do as I did and drill & tap the carb for dellorto jets. I carry about 10 sizes with me to the races.

I dont understand why no one uses the adj jet. I have used one sence i first got my bike. I just drill it out larger as i add mods that need more fuel. I love it and its easier that pulling the float bowel off everytime you want to change a jet.

check out your local rc car/hobby store, the one near me sells the wire gauge bits in single sizes for under $1 each, maybe they could order them for you
