Fuel Leak

i noticed today after riding that my tank was leaking on the bottom and dripping down my fuel line onto my motor, i thought my line was loose so i put a line clamp on and it still leaks somewhere. has anyone had this problem before with the h/f cag tanks. idk but when i burn all my fuel im gonna take th tank off and try to epoxy it or something, its driving me crazy, oh and my garage smells like a gas station lol any advice on how to fix it is welcome.................thanks

Re: Fuel Leak

CAM2 posted up a solution to this a while back. Go down to your local hardware store. In the glue/epoxy section, there's this stuff called Plastic Welder, comes in one of those double syringes. squeeze out equal amounts, mix together, apply it to where the holes are in the tank .... no more holes. I just fixed a Zooma goped gas tank with this stuff, works awesome ...

Re: Fuel Leak

Theres 1 thing I have to add to Spyguys instructions....Be sure to rough up the tank good like you do to bicycle tubes when you repair them to insure the highest repair bond..

If I was you I would of removed all the fuel from the tank before something bad happens like what happened to my friend when he put a leaky KTM in a closed shed and his dad walked in an hour later to get the weedwacker with a lit cigarette in his mouth and got the shocker of his life;-not to mention synged eyebrows and mustache....lol .........Peace
