How do i remove the flywheel??????

How do you remove the flywheel from the motor without a flywheel puller????
Or, if i need a puller does anyone know how to rig up a homemade puller?

The process shouldn't be much different on a Chinese machine, but on a Euro motor, you would remove the clutch housing and install a clutch holding plate. This prevents the crankshaft from spinning while removing and reinstalling the crankshaft nut on the flywheel. Then, you would use a flywheel puller to "pop" the flywheel off the crankshaft.

Good luck.

Put 2 bolts in the flywheel holes and screw them in evenly and it should pop right off.
I have done this numerous times with no problems.

Thumbs up

Pick up a gear puller at any automotive store get the one with three arms I did cause you might need it later its cheap and it works great, no chance of damaging anything.

Yup, best way is to use a pulley/gear puller to pop it off which is how I do it but I have done it by screwing long bolts into the flywheel to get it off. I've also popped it off using a hammer but it doesn't always come off and you must be careful not to break a fin by chance if you miss or something. Very simple to make your own puller. All you need to make one is a piece of thick flat bar, three bolts and a thread making tap.

Thax yall, for all your help. Sounds to me like the safest way to go is quit being a tightwad and just go buy the darn puller and be done with it.
