Ain't getting those screws off a lot of fun? Sometimes you have to remove the whole rear wheel just to get at them. I have a special little ratchet wrench that has a 1/4" drive on one side, and a fitting on the other so you can put in screwdriver bits. Works great for tight places like that, got it at Sears for like ten bucks.

I just remove the 4 bolts that attach the engine, swing it to the side and taking the air filter off is a breeze!

Yeah, but then you have to worry about putting your chain back on, making sure the chain guard isn't in the way, unbolting the exhaust so you CAN swing the engine over .....

I don't use a chain guard. I remove 8 bolts and I'm all set to go. I hate removing the wheel...

Hey,
If it were me, I would duck tape an M-80 to it, lite it, and Run!!! When the Smoke Clears, Go on line and by real Air Filter!!!
The first thing I did was rip it off, and use it for target practice, EPR!
