How to join the 40mph club

First off I ordered almost all these parts of DDM with one exception (inferno wire). They may not be the best but they got my bike over 40mph.

1) 150$ High Rev Pipe or if you want you can get the cheap $35 Sikk pipe which is good bang for your buck but not as good as the Rev
2)Full cirle crank $50
3)$5 Rocket Key
4) $50 44mm Head kit or if you want the ADA so you can change around your compression ratio that is $100
5) Dellorto 14/14 carburator, don't get the race ported stock carb
6) Triple stage Widow reed $25 or you could spend $100 on a 4 peddle reed.
7)Inferno wire off of PBU.com
8) The biggest mod you can do to go faster is change up gearing.

Two mods for my motor I had to do my self.
1) Rubber ducting I bought from home depot to make a ram air intake
2) Broke off all the fins on my flywheel and dremmels it perfectly smooth. This is something that you shouldn't rush because it must be done perfect. I run a high powered electric fan to cool my motor now and it has never even come close to over heating. I also run my gas through a oil cooler that I stole off an old car. I don't recommend doing this mod if you are a rookie. You can how ever just take off every other fin on you flywheel to make it a 9 fin. Make sure everything is dremmeled perfectly flush because it is critical to keep the flywheel in perfect balance.

I am 160IBS and I broke 40mph going next to my moms car. There are many more things I have to do to my motor but I have been working on my frame lately.

Nicely done, but cars are not an accurate way to determine speed.

2strokefolk, u should try all your mods with and without the rocket key, sometimes they can hold u back on performance, but other times it will help with performance(suggestion here)

another home mode u could do is lightnen your clutch, but make sure its balanced, this will help with the revs, also u can mod your stock clutch springs for better take offs

Re: How to join the 40mph club

I use a mill and a lathe to lighten my flywheels. Right now I'm running no fins and a cylinder with oversized fins to help out with cooling. I'm going to make a 6 fin to boost up the cooling a little more so I don't fry my rings quick.

And mr.blata6.2, do you have a dyno chart of that "10-13hp"? Either way, your bike may well be on a level high above cags, but I'll take you in a wheelie competition any day. lol.

I take more pride in skill than in what I own.

Maybe on an older car it isn't accurate, but on newer ones they are calebrated really well. They have to be.

yeah, but what they mean is that it may seem that the car is going the exact same speed because its right next to you but it really isnt.

Re: How to join the 40mph club

I already got the stiffer spring in mine so it get to a little higher rpm before it engages, but I have not lightened my clutch. How do you go about doing that????

you need a digital scale to make sure the arms are balanced. i lightened all of mine to 400 grams, very good results i like it.
