major carb problem w/ HP carb need Help

I have a 49cc Cateye and I just bought a High Performance carb with a high and low end setting. When I put it on my bike, the bike is in constant acceleration so the bike goes on its own but the acceleration is a slow constant acceleration and never really picks up. Both my low end and my top end are worst than with my stock carb. I don't kow what to do to keep it from being in constant acceleration because I lowerd the idle and when I do the bike turns off and wont start again. Anyone ever have this problem? I now have my stock carb back on because the HP carb was burning the clutch with the constant acceleration. The carb I bought is supposedly a walbro but my neighbor has a cateye too and he says he doesn't think the carb is a walbro. Need help don't know what to try anymore.

They tell you to modify a part that is highlighted. What modification do you do to that portion. What exactly do you do. I understand why you put JB weld in the other spot he indicated but im a little confused as to what has to be done to the other portion highlighted exactly.
