Well with the help of Jerry of Texaspocketbikes.com I picked up my second cag. The first one was gone in less than a week. This one is built for the upcoming race so I can run in the cag class. I did a few things before I actually rode the bike. I took it completely apart, changed most of the hardware to a different grade, inspected all parts, painted the frame, port matched the barrel, adjusted the carb a bit, built a polini production pipe to fit, changed the bearings, new rear sprocket, steering damper, painted rims, PMT tires, domino throttle, re-enforced the motor mounts, polini pegs, and stickered it up. This was all done over the weekend. If you wonder if the bike is that much faster, it's not. Lost bottom end but gained mid range. Either way the bike handles alot better with the tires and damper. It makes it much smoother and easier to ride.
I rode it for a few minutes, I guess it's running like any other, lol. It's good for what it is, i'm just not use to a bike that runs approx. 25mph. It handles decent I can admit that, I'm going to take it to the track on Wed to ride it around. I would say it's not broken in but I could really care about breaking it in, lol. I don't think it's going to run that much faster.

Soap
You see the fun part of a cag is not the 25mph - the fun part is to try to make ti go faster with mods - generic or homemade. Soap - if anyone can put more hp on a cag - it would be you. LOL

You're right, I wouldn't mind it going faster but for what it is I have fun with it. Thanks for the boost in confidence, lol.
Hey, when your bike was all apart did you notice if your frame is alittle twisted? I swear I haven't seen one frame that didn't look like the guy welding it was cross-eyed
I got my butt whooped this Sunday's race with 4.2's - any modification/suggestion - my MM64 ran well/better than other hop-up cags but it was no match against 4.2s.
I am happy that you finally see the purpose of the Cags - its not the bike but the people and bringing everyone to the sport of pocketbike.
Soap is real life Vin Diesel - he modifies engine cars for street racing....check out his website - this guy is for real - he's cool too - not a Euro snob.
nice! one thing i can suggest though is to change out those crappy stock brake levers for some avid levers. the difference is night and day. also what kind of damper is that?

Yes the frame was bent over to the right if you were staring at it from the front. My other cag frame was exactly the same way. I think they have a bad jig in china. I cut it and straighten it out.

Honestly Larry, I see that these motors can put out more than 4.2 hp. But the deal is that the powerband wouldn't be like a polini motor not unless the whole motor is redesigned. It's not even about the hp, it's about where you need the power in the rpm range. A true 4.2 polini motor is putting out more than 5hp peak with a real nice powerband.
The reason I own a china bike now is to ride in the Cag only class and to have a blast in it. I ride with alot of riders in my area that own only the china bikes, I got tired of pulling out my other bikes to ride with them. Now that i'm running a china bike they absolutely have no excuses for getting their butt whooped. For the price of the bike you can't go wrong, it's gotta be one of the cheapest thrill on two-wheel.
