My Cag won't start (Carb Clog Problem)

Ok so I got my Cag two nights ago and 30 seconds after I got it running it finally shut off. It choked till it died. I took the fairings off and the crappy fuel line was bent. I was told to put a fuel filter on there too so I did and I also took apart the carb to clean it out. I put everything back together on the carb and the bike will not start. I figured it was just becsaue no gas was in it. I also broke the starter lol. Anyone have any suggestoins when I get my new starter.

Did you shorten the fuel line when you added the filter? You want to take out the kinks. The best way to find out if fuel is in the carb is to remove the little
philips screw onder the bowl and if gas pours out your getting fuel also did you clean the petcock? The fuel switch.

No fuel came out of the screw. No fuel is getting to the carb heh.

if u have assemble the carb correctly and no fuel is coming out u might have a clog in the fuel switch, take that apart and clean it out reassemble and see if u're getting gas. if not, take the bowl/float out and bend the fork upward towards the sky alittle bike, put bowl/float back on and u should be getting fuel to the carb.

is your fuel filter on correctly? Sometimes they are directional meaning one way in one way out then check to make sure nothing is clogging the lines if they are not the clear fuel lines. Make sure your gas tank outlet is not clogged also. Last
clean your petcock gasket.

Fuel filter was going the wrong way and by the time I realized that we broke the starter paw.

I think it was just not getting fuel. I unscrewed the screw on the bottom of the carb and nothing came out. I'll see if it works when the new starter comes in.

I couldn't imagine the carb being that hard to put together everything goes in like it ocmes out.

Yeah it is.

The whole problem started out when I first got it the seller put gas in it already. That night we got it to start and I tried to ride it and it sounded like it was choking. Then it rode around for a bit and then there was motor rev but no power and then it died. I took off the fairings and the fuel line was kinked but since it was new I decided to clean the carb as well just in case.

What ratio fuel mix are you using?
Also pull your plug to see what it looks like.

I believe 40:1. I'll have to check the plug out.

try changing your needle to the 3rd position. also adjust your idle screw to rev the engine higher.
