need help my pocket bike got trippel stage reeds, light weight flywheel ported carb and put a expantion on my exhuast pipe,if got good top end but my bike sucks on pull away WHAT can i do.Any help would be appreciated.
well first you might want to check if your running to lean or to rich because by porting your carb and with reeds your prolly going to have to rejet your carb. Second are you running a 40 cc or 49 cc cylinder? with tripple stage reeds I recommend a 49 cc to put out that low end power that the reeds will take away from low end since they are so stiff.
shot for the replie, how would i know if im running to lean or to rich,if got a bm6a plug in it now and its burning like a grey color if also got a bm7a wich 1 is better, what can i do about my jet.
if its a REALLY dry, grey color, it could be too lean. I could be wrong on this, but with cars I know you just want a solid black color, no wetness and not a large amount of buildup.
about plug color...the ideal will be a golden tan to dark brown. Remember for jetting...the main jet only controls throttle from 3/4 to wide open, anything lower than 3/4 throttle is the throttle needle.
What gearing are you using now? try to swap the front pinion gear to a smaller one or swap the rear sprockets to a bigger one for more low end power. I will swap the rear one, coz it is easier to work on. removing the front pinion gear is pain in the butt.

Grey or ghostly white is a no, no... Risk of Booom.. With cars soild black is not always good either it's a sign of running rich or using poor grade petrol.
this is true. i'm always looking for a black in my cars considering they're forced induction. always rather be running heavy on fluid than running lean. I dunno about these little motors though, I would trust stone up there. In any case, I think we are all in agreement that the grey color you're getting is no good, and is most likely pointing to a lean fuel mixture.
If possible I would suggest up jetting in slight increments, and slight decrease in the air intake perhaps, was this gray color from a new plug? A new plug is the best diagnostic on how your engine is doin.
The air/idle screw can decrease/increase you air intake if you don't have jets, which I lost mine. If you ported your carb then that means your air/fuel intake is better and faster. This can be part of the reason why you should adjust your air/idle screw to fine tune it, this can help with your air/fuel mix proportions.. I'm not positive you need to up idle screw or down thats why you should try both.
Anyone know which way increases/decreases air/idle screw on the delrep with black bowl? I'm thinkin lefty opens n right closes but I should be wrong right?
