Need help about tire change...

I have some problem with tire change. I put the tire in the rim already but the lip of tire does not attach the lip of rim. During filling the air, the air leak between tire and rim. It won't be full. What should I do?

I had the same problem with a wheelbarrow once, lol, I had to take it to a tire shop, and they used their high pressure hose to fill it. It moves a lot of air at a high rate, and POOF they got it. This might be easier for ya, and they didnt charge me. Good Luck.

No prob, if your in a REAL hurry to do this, you could use a tie down strap around the circumfrance of the tire, and then air it up, so the bead is close to the rim. Just try a few things, good luck!

I am at the same point today you were on October 4 (your post). I can't get the 'first' air into the tire because the rim/bead doesn't seal yet.
So what did you finally do?http://www.pocketbikeplanet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif

Smash the tire off the bead, then get some soapy water and put it on teh rim and the tire, then use two tire irons to pry it off. I have these and can get a tire off in probably less than a minute.

I was able to do mine here at home with a small portable air compressor/battery jumper that got from Costco for about 70.00 ...Try taking out the valve core it will allow air to go into the tire faster and you may need to push on the tire a little where you hear it leaking from, to help it to stop leaking air at the beads. The most I went was 39-40 lbs. MAX. I wanted to be safe. Spray the sides with soapy water and that will help the tire seet evenly and correctly. You may need to let out the air and try it a few times to get it to seet just right. But I would be carefull and don't put too much air in it. Good Luck

I just noticed this was an old post that came up, Hopefully it will help somebody out anyways.

old trick is to spray starting fluid in tire and flip a match close to it and it would pop it in place. very dangerous but effective. so be careful doing it.
