Re: N2O Shots? Real?

u misunderstood him, when n2o is injected the extra fuel helps keep the mixture right and give more power as the engine will burn faster , but as stated you cant run it for very long shots the engines aint built for it

and if you think running a jet suitable for when on the boost what about when your off it ? youl be running rich .....not a good thing

there just gimmicks you need a wet system with all the proper electronic controls not a bike tyre inflator and a bodged up hose and connector

Re: N2O Shots? Real?

since when is running rich not a good thing, yea, it's not a huge boost to performance but the only thing it's gonna do is foul your plug....not like running lean and locking up your piston

??? Running rich is bad, it is bad for performance and bad for the engine. I have had to rebuild many engines that ran rich because of carbon build up in the head and because of carbon buildup on the rings which caused them to stick.
Running lean does not lock up your piston but it will build so much heat over time that the piston will expand too much and can seize in the bore.
Moral of the story is that the fuel has to be at the perfect ratio for optimum performance and don't let people tell you otherwise.

Re: N2O Shots? Real?

i agree, but running rich is the lesser of the 2 evils (rich vs. lean). i worded the part poorly about "since when is running rich not a good thing" because it's never a "good" thing....but it's definitely not a horrible thing, things could be a lot worse like running lean or not running at all. Moral of the story: in order to obtain optimum performance and optimum engine life make sure you jet your bike perfectly!

NOS on my bike

Hi everyone,i would like to buy this nitrous oxide pocketbike kit for my 47cc(40.2) h/f samurai(ebay).I think i read somewhere that it might be real bad for the motor on my bike, will it be?I only have the stock motor, carby etc.
Will blow my motor,i wont be using it all the time though as cartriges are not cheap.Soon i will be getting a hp carby kit with hp airfilter,i hope it doesnt blow this up,will it?Thanks.

Use the search button.

Nitrous has been discussed many times already on this board.

Re: NOS on my bike

all cags are the same when they are stock.....only difference is some come with the 44mm head and some come with a 40mm head.....don't worry about the name, it's just a gimmick
