Do you need a battery for this kit? Where would you mount that? I hardly have enough room now.

This is a Nitrous Express Piranha kit. Its a wet n2o system (gas+nitrous exiting from the nozzle) Cheaper piranha kits are about 500USD. These kits are not for 47cc

This kit needs a 12v power supply for the relay and the solenoids. You can take 12v from 2 9v batteries using a 7812 regulator but it isnt a good kit for 47cc

Also steel lines are hard to route through a 47cc

Dry kits are more simple, and some of them can be powered from 9v batteries like NOS sneeky pete kits. these are about usd200

you can use in a 47cc, but you will have the power supply problem. a smaller kit is better for these bikes

I've since bought knee and elbow pads, I know I should have had them earlier, luckily I had a helmet and leathers on. I also installed a pressure regulator and gauge on the line. Now I run it at 1/4 of what it originally was which is now between 15-20psi. Last weekend I dragged another bike, I had him out of the whole and half way down the track he passed me and I hit the nitrous and flew by him finishing first. I don't know if it will ruin the engine but they aren't that spendy anyways so it's probably the only time in my life I'll be able to, "hit the NOS". I also don't know how safe it is, I'm sure something could go wrong but, we don't ride pocket rockets because they're "safe" do we?
do you have a video of this? on my bike it just makes it over rev and crap out.

Yea, I got video but the camera zooms out right before I hit it and the bike launches. I've use 5 or 6 bottles so far. We'll be taking more this weekend but I really need to find a way to hook it to the computer, my old RCA/USB adapter isn't compatible with WinXP.

You can go to a mountain bike shop and get a CO2 inflator for bike tires and then go to a place like save-on foods or superstore and get a pack of like 10 nitrous whippets called cream chargers. there for making whipped cream with, you will find them in the untencil isles were the spatulas are.

then go to like a pluming shop and get some fittings. wont cost more than 50$ to make the kit.

be sure not to get soda cargers because they are co2 not nitrous oxide like cream chargers

PS its not called NOS its called nitrous oxide. NOS is a company name that blelongs to holley.

IMO it probly wont work. when you buy nitrous oxide kits like ZEX or Venom your paying alot for the delivery systems and stuff like that

how to make the nos kit

you can got to your local bike shop and get a co2 tire inflater for $20.00 or less depends what brand but shop around adn you can find them cheaper. and then go to your local harware store and get 1\4 o.d line depends on what type of bike or chopper your going put it on you will need about 5-6 feet or line its like 0.07-0.14 cents per feet and you will need to get copper fittings take the co2 inflater to the hardware store with you to find the right fittings you will all so need to get some washers 7-8 washers belive its 8 washers to put in side the inflater so that the nitrous bottles will be high enought to reach the top. this set up is not hard to make it will cost you less to make it your self then to but it from someone els adn you can get the whip chream chargers from e bay dirt cheap just type in whipp cream chargers and it will take you to all the chargers.
parts you will need:
co2 inflater(local sports shop, bike shop should not cost more then 20 bucks)
7-8 washers(glue the washers to each other and to the base of the inflater)
5-6 feet of 1\4 od line (reg water line will work like for the ice makers cost 7-14 cents per feet)
copper pressure fittings you will need about 2 of them one that gos to your intake should be 1\4od fitting and the other should be 1\8taping out to a 1\4 fitting (but not sure its been a while since i made one of these kits so take your co2 inflater with you, you can find the parts better at osh $6.00 for both fittings)
for a better fit it is better to grind out the in side where the cartridge pill get poked at this will help the cartridgefrom getting stuck when taking it out by not doing this you will see what im talking about. good luck build at your own risk
