Your carb isn't broke, it's just stuck its either one of three things.

Do these steps in order Respectively, if it doesn't cure it move to the next step. If step one cures your problem no need to do the last 2.

1. Your float is getting stuck in the bowl. Some say lift up the back wheel and let it drop, some say it works others don't. I personally never tried this so I don't know.

2. You have debris or speck of dirt in the fuel vein. Can fix this by using an aircompressor and blow air through all holes and passages but mainly the fuel vein.

3. The float arms aren't bent down far enough. Remove the bowl from the carb, and bend the arms down a little about 2mm toward the float. Check to see if it still does it, if so, take it off again and bend it down a little more, just 2mm a time and make sure the 2 arms are even or level with each other.

Dude, I think...

Dude is the needle missing, its the little pointy thing, that when the gas comes throw the inlet and fills the bowl and raises the float that moves the float arm shut off that move that pointy thing up so no more gas can cum through? Mine did that for like a day when i got it too, eventually it started to stop, and now I can leave the swivel in the on position and it doesn't leak a drop.

He makes a good point it there a "plunger needle" that is attached to the float arm and goes up into the fuel vein or did it fall out and you forgot to put it in?
Its a little needle with a black rubber tip and is spring loaded in the back. It slides in the slot of the float arm.

If you have done a 3 steps I told you then it must be missing.

the needle that big bone is talking about is in your float bowl on the bottom of the carb. take the float bowl off the carb and hold the carb upside down. pull the fork up and you will see a little valve attached to the base of the fork that kinda look like a valve on a tire. that may be a bad comparison but thats what it reminds me of. anyway that little stem flares out on the end and should be in a little clip on the base of the fork. if it is not in the clip on the fork, then that could be why it's doing that. or if you con't see that little valve, that could also be the issue. i don't know if this will be a fix, just suggesting that u check this out, cause you may not need to buy a new carb

You wanted pic, you got pics

Bikoholic, you are the man!!! I can't tell you how long I've been looking for that freakin pic. You did good but I did find Del'Orto carb page and holy cow! If them Polinni Boy's ever find that page, were toast. No, were burnt toast with no kiss if you know what I mean....nice job, and if this bloke still cant stop the petrel from ozzing from his bum, then he needs to sell his toy scoot and move on to RC motor cars. Cause this boy's outta his box...But good luck to him anyway. ...This message was brought to you by, BigBone57, Future President of CenCal PBklub. Keep it uprite.
