Question on a pocketbike

hey guys,I want to know is this a good bike http://cgi.*********/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...132372832&rd=1
And tell me some cool things about it. Is it fast with a person who weighs like 120 pounds? And how many tanks of gas does it take for brake in? and when i am breaking it in should i but the trottle a full power?
And is that a good deal and is there any were eles u can get the same bike at for more or less for i can compare?

P.s i know the ebay thing is old link but the guy has more and i might buy one if i get some good feedback about it.

Thanks

you can't post a direct link to ebay. you can give the item number so people can do a search on ebay to find the item in question. Most cags are going to have about the same performance in stock form as they all use basically the same engine. There are some slight exceptions to this as some do come with factory big bores and some cylinders are better than others. However, some bikes are of higher quality than others. In general ebay is pot luck. You can find good bikes for good prices if you know what you're looking for and the seller acurately represents his product. But, be careful and be sure you look at thier shipping charge before bidding as some of the shipping charges are more than the bike. Your best bet is to contact some of the advertisers listed at the top of your screen. From my experience they will give you accurate info on their products.

The answers to most questions you have at this point can be found up at the top of your page under "Search", in the stickys at the beginning of the "air cooled" forum, and in the "how to" forum.

That looks identical to one I got off ebay. Here are my impressions-

Good-
Front Brake caliper is better than most
It did 32mph right out of the box- verified on my GPS
came with nice slicks
has factory upper motor mount
pretty light @ 37lbs

Bad-
the gas tank, seat plastics are very cheap. seems like they could fall off at any minute
it is only a 40cc
no motor cooling shrowd
frame seems a little cheap/weak. but at 120lbs u won't be breaking it
seat was some very cheap thin slab of foam

now the bad that every PB i've seen has this one included-
foot pegs are junk
brake levers are junk
rear wheel spacers split apart the chain stays

You can get pretty much every bike on ebay for $200 shipped. I also bought a full fairing bike from seller "ezbike" on ebay. Overall the quality of that bike was better than the one you posted. It has a 48cc engine, motor cooling shrowd, nicer seat, plastics are much better quality, just in general the build quality was better. It still has the same issues that I listed above with the pegs and levers etc.. But they all do.

thats the same as the "yomer" cags that used to be on ebay:
1. the pegs are just covers that slip over a metal hoop, the hoop material is about the same as a wire coathanger.
2. the swingarm supports are just a small metal triangle, you can literally bend the swingarm by hand.
3. the frame tubing is alot thinner than most of the other cags out there.

Yeah, I would pass on this one. I see a few things that I don't like about it. $200 is too much for any HF IMO. I've got 2 HFs and an L7 and I paid less than $200 a piece for all of them. The L7 is the best of the bunch but I also like the HFs I have. The first one I bought was a HF and luckily I got a good one. Just shear luck 'cause at that time I didn't know waht to look for. Then I got an L7, much better quality overall but the front brake caliper sucks (I've since upgraded the caliper). Decided to get a second HF and it took a while to find someone selling one like my first one. But I did and got it for a little less than $150 shipped.

Do what you want and get whatever appeals to you. I have no experience with this particular bike, but from what I see, I think it is of better quality than the first one. But if you shop around you can find an L7 bike (the best quality cag available) for less than this one. Be careful with ebay. Always check the shipping charge. You do realize that this bike has a $169 shipping fee? That's $20 more than I paid for my last bike, total. and about what I paid for my L7 shipped to my door.
