Check the valve stem's rubber grommet and make sure it's internal valve is secured down.

Re: Rear wheel keeps loosen air

My rear tire is like that, just buy an electric pump or air tank, both go for around $30. The electric pump is slower but will never run out of air. The air tank on the other hand, can fill up tires REALLY fast when it's filled with a lot of air, and even when there's just a little left, but you have to get it refilled at gas stations. You might want to try some Slime and that should seal it for good.

Re: Rear wheel keeps loosen air

I bet your valve stem is bad. Happens to most CAG's. They dry rot and begin to crack. Then they develope a slow leak. Get some new ones, and put some bead sealer around it and on your bead of the tire. Should get you all fixed up.

Re: Rear wheel keeps loosen air

The schrader valve is what is threaded into the valve stem...some metal valve stem caps have a two-pronged extension on the end which lets you tighten them. With all the vibration and unbalanced wheels, the shrader has a tendency to "walk" out.

Re: Rear wheel keeps loosen air

I have known PMT wheels to lose air through pin holes in the castings. If they are split rims the seal may have gone

Re: Rear wheel keeps loosen air

Go to Autozone or Lowes and get some tire slime.
Believe me it works.
I pulled a samll nail out of my tire and the slime came out with it ans sealed the hole instantly.

Re: Rear wheel keeps loosen air

i got some of that stuff.. I can never get it to work.. It always soo hard to push when its on the stem.. And if i push tooo hard it comes off the stem and gets everywere.. Do u think if i use alittle it should seal the stem if thats the problem..
