Seal for Jetpro Pipe

Hey everyone,

I just got my jetpro pipe today... I remember someone posted something about a seal you can put into the Jetpro in the mid-section, since there is no seal there.... Does anyone know what i'm referring to, what exactly it is, or where to get it?

There is a red high-temp gasket sealer that is also pressure resistant. I think that's the one. Should have it at any automotive store.

felix,

let me know how the pipe runs.......and if you got that seal thing you were talking about. Also what type of carb were you thinking of putting on it or were you going for the boring of the stock carb...........thanks

I just did the samething today. I seal the joints with the high temp silicone. I didn't get to try it out yet. It takes 24hrs to dry, but I think it will stop the oil from spitting out on to my shoes.

Go to most any motorcycle shop and get some "Exhaust Tape". There are two types.

1) is a teflon tape that you rap around the pipe and then slip the pipes together.
2) is a putty that you form to make a seal and then slip the pipes together.
I used the putty on my Jetpro. Easy to use and is reusable if you take the pipe appart. I noticed a difference when the pipe hit after installing the tape.

I use ultra black on most applicatiosn and it works pretty well. If your really afraid of leaks and high temp go with ultra gray. Becareful though, ultragray is like cement once it drys its so hard to take off.

I used J B weld and its cheaper than other sealants and it works fine.
