sendai tai chi gas tank problem??

is anyone haveing problems turning to the left and running the bike out of gas?If you turn to the right you can lean it 5"(till you hit the pegs)towards the left you can only lean 1 1/4"before your gas stops flowing through fuel line. This is with the tank full, its worse if tank is less.please let me know if others are haveing problems.

Im not familiar with that bike, but my 03 CR125 did the same thing, It was because the carb didnt sit perfectly straight up and down so just with the bike sitting straight up, it was as if the bike was leaned over enough to where the float bowl would overflow when I lifted it to put it on the stand. The carb as a whole should be like this when looking at it from behind | and mine was like this / . I dont remember what I did to help it but I think I messed around with the float. I couldnt ever get it to be perfect because of the way the carb sat next to the frame. I dont know if that is your problem but it could also be the way your fuel line is routed.

the carb is strait i tryed routing fuel line(5 ways)whats happening is the fuel outlet is so far to the right that if you lean to the left zero fuel goes into the line.its like sendai made the tank wrong,or they need to get larger fuel bowls on the carbs!

Forgive me if this was posted twice. Just wanted to say that my best upgrade I've gotten so far on my Taichi was a 17.5mm Dell'Orto Carb. The kit came with a Blata manifold, Polini airfilter & shorter throttle cable. I've installed the 88 main jet and lowered the clip to the lowest postion on needle. Bike runs very strong! Also, took the liberty and corrected the lubrication holes on the piston. While having the cylinder out, cleaned up around the edges with a dremmel. Adjusted the clutch and I'm flyin'! The bike is very strong - oh, did i mention that already??? Still waiting on my Zocchi clutch upgrade, as well.

the 17.5mm Dell'Orto upgrade kit came from Tom over at DCMinimoto for $205.00. may seem a bit steep, but you really get what you pay for, the kit came with everything you need including 4 separate jet sizes. another plus is that the fuel line routes on the opposite side of the stock 14/14 copy carb that came with the taichi. feeds the carb fuel much easier.
