Question Slow bike question

My brother, a friend and my self bought the exact same bikes (2005 Cagllari Daytona). We are going to start racing in April. When we where practicing in a parking lot, I found that my friends bike is so much faster then my brothers and mine. They are supposed to be the exact same thing. How can one bike be so much faster than the other two? Then, what can I do to make my brothers and mine faster? We want to stay in the stock class for now. We can't do to many modifications.
Any information would be helpful.

no two bikes are built the same. if you want to stay in the stock class and don't want to make any mods i don't think there is anything you can do. maybe you go less richer on your fuel mixture. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

thats what i say too. the faster bike might be tuned a little better. so a search on tunning a stock carb and give it a try.
*also* do you all weight the same? that is a huge differance with speed.

these bikes are built in mass production with no quality tolerances, so every bike/engine is going to perform different from the next, even though they're the same bike. sometimes the manufacture even put in different motors on the same bike...so it's all random luck if you get a good one or not. i don't race so i don't know what is allowed or restricted in certain classes, but you can take off the air filter and use a panty hose instead to block out rocks/dirt and also increase air intake. and then you can mess with the needle placement in the carb to make the motor run rich/lean depending on gas/oil ratio...

Talking

Thanks for all the input. I am going to try to tune it up some. See if that helps. If not, I will have to move up a division. LOL.
