well that's fine if u don't believe me, I mean it is kinda hard to believe lol but if u break it down its simple.. what is ur true displacement? that's what's its all about. I mean yes u can add evthing u have but that's not really effecting ur true output much. that st it goin to help with torque and acceleration. see my engine only weights a meere few ounces more than it did stock. power to weight ratio is the number one tning to look for. I mean u can have the best carb, ignition, gearing and the lightest flywheel/what ever.... but that is only goin to help accelerate, I mean yeah u can gain a few rpms but what u need is displacement im surprised that your bike only goes as fast as it does, but I bet it gets there quickly ! sorry I don't have a vid right now, but I will have u one shortly, promise!

Re: Stock pipe mod

um im at work right now so I can go check but im pretty sure its a 7-72... I believe... that's what it came with when I got it, so no its not the stock ratio, that's why I have a super freaking high stall on the clutch , to help with that gearing . it was slow as crap taking off with the stock clutch, and yeah it takes for ever to get up to speed. the speedo it was clocked with might be off a bit but it shouldn't be by much, I will run it next to my gf's car and see but I do know at 1/2 throttle it goes 38, and that's about the point where it really takes off.

Re: Stock pipe mod

Hi G-P, I am with Juanitoboy on this one. Don't want to bag on you or hi-jack this thread, but you would have to be revving at 17100 rpms to attain that speed with that ratio.
I would use a GPS to confirm top speeds.

Re: Stock pipe mod

how could u have a slow take off with 7-72, thats geared for acceleration not top end, and with a high stall clutch and your gearing, u would hit your top speed like in 4 seconds, also u have is a BB head, which is good for lowend instead of top end, and there has been no internal porting or the adding boost ports at all, so for my conclusion its not possible

Re: Stock pipe mod

three boost ports?! that's crazy how much more power would u get out of the over a 2 port cylinder . and I was wondering, is there any true "dyno" proven gains on boost bottles cuz im hearing a lot on both sides,so let me know what u think

Re: Stock pipe mod

not sure but it should be something pretty noticable, boost bottles are bad, they dont help in top end, just in acceleration when on/off on the throttle, but i say there garbage

WOW!

I'm running a 44mm dual boost ported big bore kit, BM reeds, etc and I think my Cag is close to 35mph with me on it, just like everyone elses on this forum!

Tell us your secrets and it better not be based on the speedometer on your bike!
