just got broken in, started with 25:1 92octane standard twostroke oil ran fine, switched to 40:1 with the same gas oil type and gained quite a bit of top end BUT now ive got flutter at top speed, and kinda putts a little off the line, ill give it gas(WOT) and it kinda chugs a bit and then starts to go like crazy what can i do to fix the putt/chug/bog? only mod ive got is i drilled a bunch of holes in the air box and also a 72tooth rear sprocket, do i need to richen or maybe lean the needle, its on the third position. and for the flutter in know i need stronger reeds, any suggestions on which i should get .03 .05 fiberglass or the carbonfiber? i really like acceleration but dont really want to loose top speed was thinking about a reed spacer and the .05 fiberglass reed.

havent used it but I hear the .5 is to stiff to let you retain any lowend on these little 38cc engines. I had the .3 in it and my bike took off nice and had a great top speed, faster than all but one stock cag at the race (not sure how this one bike is so fast stock) and then I was having problems so I decided to go back ot stock metal ones for a try and I might just be halucinating but I swear I lost a TON of top end power

well you say that your only doing 31 with all those mods? hell i was at 30mph stock on 25:1 fuel ratio and i weigh 215lbs

but the reason i was thinking .05 was because ive already got a 72 tooth sprocket which is all low end and then adding in the reed block spacer which also adds low end so i was thinking that to gain back some top end go with an all top end reed. i may be wrong thats why im asking but my real problem i want to fix is the hesitation off the line.

you are **** lucky if youre going 30 MPH on a 72 tooth sprocket, or you mean 30 before that sprocket. anyways, you have it geared for low end and you have the reed block spacer that should help with low end, but the stiffere reeeds affect the low end because of the low velocity of the air flow at low revs, cant open em too well. not sure if thats the case but I thikn so, so no gearing is gonna change the air flow, your revs will climb faster though so you shouldnt notice it as much but I still say with a basically stock engine with those thick reeds youre gonna feeel the sluggishness for a bit.

but man 215 hitting 30, does yours have the bbk stock or something?

yeah 30 was before the sprocket change actually hit 32 going downhill and no i dont have the big bore. i think it may be in the adjustments of the brakes, when i first got mine both front and rear dragged alittle and im shure that effected top speed and accel so i spent god knows how many hours adjusting the brakes just soo.... now they spin atleast 3 full revolutions before stopping AND the bike actually stops when i pull on the brakes.

my front wheel spins a ton more than 3 times before it stops and Id say my rearwheel gets a good 3-4 at least. weird thing is mine is the only nike with that caliper adjuster on it that pulls it away from or pushes it towards the rotor and I am constantly playing with that so it doesnt grab since my rotors a bit bent and then next day I need to play with it again, not sure how, seems too hard to turn for it to do it by itself but who knows. my 140 lb friend only hit 30 on his, and a kid even smaller got going maybe 30-31 cuz he BARELY pulls on him at top speed.
