| Re: throttle slide and case The throttle cable needs to be straightened out to work correctly. Make sure the throttle slide has the long groove facing the petcock, and the cutout on the bottom facing the idle screw.
The needle sounds very odd. There should be five small notches in the needle itself, with the c-clip on one of them. The half-moon washer rests on top of this clip to keep the throttle needle down inside the throttle slide when the spring is place on it. Could you please show us a picture of the needle? |
