throttle slide and case

hey guys well two things are the problem on my bike now. First, i got the throttle slide off to check the c clip and it came off fine, but when i tried to get it back on in which i did, it jammed the silver throttle cable inside the black plastic cylinder and its bending inside. Will this cause a problem if the throttle works fine with it like this? Second, my c clip cannot be adjusted. It has a minute black clip at the very top and a silver moveable c clip below it that can slide up and down. There are no notches except for the top one where the black clip is, but no other notches to move it into to richen or lean the mixture. Please Help, im afraid that when i run the bike again the mixture will be too rich again. Can i lean the mixture another way? Thanks!!!

The throttle cable needs to be straightened out to work correctly. Make sure the throttle slide has the long groove facing the petcock, and the cutout on the bottom facing the idle screw.

The needle sounds very odd. There should be five small notches in the needle itself, with the c-clip on one of them. The half-moon washer rests on top of this clip to keep the throttle needle down inside the throttle slide when the spring is place on it. Could you please show us a picture of the needle?
