Top speed

ok, whats the best top speed you guys have got running the bike completely stock? I clocked my ff at 31mph, which im quite proud of, have any of you got any better?

Also have any of you guys done the 'lot' on you pb? things such as fuel line, petcock, air filter, carb, reeds, reed block, full circle stroker balanced cranks, huge big bore kits, plugs, exhaust, nos and sprockets? if so what are your top speeds?
Im either thinking of a different engine or doing everything to the original engine

Thanks for the replys!!

does anyone what my approx top speed would be if i did these cheapy mods
heavily modded stock airbox
ported stock carb with new fuel line and adj. main needle etc
ported stock intake manifold
Reed block/assembly modded with CF reed
boost ported etc head with smoothened and enlarged exhaust port
Stock pipe mod ( for top end)

any reason why?
also could someone 'kindly' tell approx how much room there is between the engine mount and the tank? i know the engine mount doesnt extend that far but does anyone get me?
My bike doesnt come for another week... as a friend has a go WITHOUT my permission, and blew a chunk of piston right out the side of the exhaust, thankfully he's paying for it dont no how he did it lol

i've just heard bad things about the rocket key! most people on this forum will tell you to throw that S**T in the trash! it's one of those mods where they invented it to run down the life of your engine so you buy another one sooner. trust me. just throw it away! anyway the gain is not worth the time spent on installing it.

oh and about that your friend having a go without your permission! my friend would have a big chunk from the side of his lip! lol jk (not promoting violence)

I also do not recomend rocket keys. I have a gas scooter but purchased a x12 and an waiting for it to ship. Any ways i had a rocket key in my scooter and it snapped leaving me transportation less 28 miles from home. Well speed wise i use a 49cc engine the same as the pocket bikes and my total rig weighs about 50 lbs. My friends at mdr dyno'd it after mods at putting out 17hp. The torque was too hard to read though becuase of its light weight. My mods include headstrong head kit, air filter, walbro hp 15mm carb, tuned pipe, lightened piston, 111 octaine fuel with castorbean oil, 5:1 gearing (straight gearing after 5:1 in tranny) 10" wheels boost tube, new brakes, stiffer suspension, high rpm bearings, high heat grease on wheel bearings, lightened/ balanced flywheel, High rpm clutch spring, lightened clutch plates, lightened frame, front suspension, high flow fuel lines, and i thin that is all so far. My top speed is 53mph (remember i have to stand so i have 10sq feet of wind resistance. My acceleration is hurting a little but can get to full speed across a 2 lane intersection or in about 25 feet. I think that a picket bike with the mods i have done could easily reach 65mph.

haha not to point things out but do you how stupid you sound when you say your dynoed it but couldnt get the torque, but somehow you got 17 hp. hp can only be calculated with the formula of: torque x rpm/5252. torque is the only thing measured on a dyno, then the computer calculates the hp for you. sorry to burst your bubble. also 17 hp and a max speed of 53? come on. i have a 7 hp that does 50. whats the story man?

what ever.

I have got a full faring daytona with high flow air filter, high flow fuel line/filter, dual stage reeds, lightened fly wheel, torker pipe, ngk race spark plug, and upgraded 1.4 clutch springs. I also am running a 70 jet. I went 38 mph according to my tiny tach on which i ran 12,800rpms under load on the stock gearing. I also plan to add a head kit/new carb to the mix we will see how that helps I think I can break the 40 mph ceiling and maybe the 45 or 50 with some good porting. I also only weigh 135 so that is helpful. The bike up on the stand does 13,300rpms.

i believe that. 22 tooth sprocket will give you 10mph alone, plus all the other sht... no problem
