Hi all, just registered on the site and thought i'd show you the project me and MISFIT74 have been working on.
Its 3 CAG 49cc engines, with our own modified stock carbs and modified air stacks. All 3 engines have rocket keys fitted with 3 stage carbon fibre reed valves.
She's running 9 drives and a 60 rear sprocket at the moment.
Our project aim is to make her as fast as possible by only modifiying the stock 49cc eqiupment.
Check out the YOUTUBE LINKS BELOW if you wanna see her run.
PART 1
Jesus H that is the sickest thing ever...and everyone on here was talking about a dual engine drag cag hahahha...PROPS
Hi mate thanks for the reply, she's got quite a strong power band at the moment but is only reaching speeds of around 60mph. Riding in the superman position though is a major buzz.
We're UK guys and have the use of a runway (at a price) for straight lining and want to start some CAG straight line race day events over 8th of a mile in 3 catagories 2, 3 and 4 engine'd CAG powered creations.
When we're ready and have enough interest we'll post a thread saying so and get names and numbers and post out membership cards.
Nice talking to you.
CHECK OUT THE PICS IN THE POCKET BIKE PICTURES SECTION.
Nice Job Guys
I am working on a 2 Engine Drag Bike, have 2 motors I built from Parts, 49cc Big Bore w/ FC cranks, rocket keys, mod flywheel, mod intake, carb
bored & jetted, carbon fiber reeds, 3rd bearing clutch housing!! I am going
to change to X7- 16mm Walbro, butterfly Carbs. & V-stacks!!
I can't see how you linked your Engs. together, I am welding a Half Shaft
to the frame, and a Third Clutch & gear to the rear wheel!! Have you guys
tried a 55 or 47 rear gear yet!! I like your frame but the wheelie bar is to
High, mine will be like 1" from the Ground!! I am going drill a hole in the...
starter cover & start the 1st Eng. w/ my air gun and a socket, then the #1 eng. will start #2 buy turning the throttle on #1 the 3rd clutch will
Launch the Bike!! But 3 engs. maybe later!! What do you Think???
I wanted to run one Eng backards & turn the engine backwards & run a chain on
both sides to the rear wheel!! You could make a Quad that way too, 2 Engs side-
side, Front & Rear one jack shaft across, 4 Engs. running one Shaft & a Big Third
Clutch, now that would be a Bike!! You guys could do it!! EPR!

Reason: addtional info
Yeah your wheelie bar is WAY too high, but thats pretty cool, im also building a 2 engine drag bike over the winter. I may fit a say X-7 engine or something like that in a drag cag instead.
Very nice job man.It kind of reminds me of the dragbike with 24 Dorman chainsaw engines but in a smaller version and without a body.......If its for dragracing why now boost up the cylinders to 15:1 - 17:1,convert them over to bumpstart, add MSD kicker ignitions and run them on methanol with a few 19mm 4 stroke carbs...After that youll be leaving rubber on the pavement
Jeff theres a small 70cc McCulloch Methanol powered race kart engine thats a tad larger than a cag engine and can propel a race kart to speeds of 85mph in the same time it takes a Porsche to go from 0-60..Imagine what the same power would do on two wheels in a 50 lb package
Then theres engines like the 100cc 50hp Methanol huffers below that slingshot my unlimited class racing karts to 130+mph in the blink of an eye and on the right designed 2 wheel frame it would be a missile....

Gentlemen, our resident "mad genius" is in the house. CAM2 here is well-known for more than a few insanely-modified vehicles, including a 70+mph mini-Ducati and a three-wheeler Cag with a 6.5hp Honda engine. If ever a man lived by "Tim The Tool Man" Taylor's famous words, "MORE POWER", this is the guy right here.
Guys,
Wow, I LOVE that Bike, I like that Frame, spyguy, someone put some work into it!! I do not care about competition, I just want to build a Bike
I can lay down on and Go Fast as Possible! I am going to stay with the
Plan, & Tweek & Modify till its the Best it Can Be!! EPR!

Ello mate, to answer a couple of your questions, the WHEELIE BAR is not actually functioning as a wheelie bar. With me riding it lying down it will never wheelie before actually snapping the rear chain. Its there purely as a FOOT REST only. We realistically will never need a wheelie bar until we start breaking away from CAG engines which is not our game plan until she is as fast as she can be using CAGS. We do have a 47 rear sprocket but at the moment we keep our gearing the same so we can measure the effect of our modifications each time we test. When she's finished we will play with gearing, but at the moment our 9 drives and 60 rear suit us well.
It sounds like you got alot of ideas going on in your head, all of which are doable if you have the time, skill and money. I would try and settle on 1 idea ie, either shaft or chain. Our main problems were linking all 3 using chains, and also the throttle linkage setup.
Your shaft drive idea will definately cost you big money and turn out quite heavy i think. Our bike weighs quite a bit on its own without me on it lol.
I would like everyone to remember that we are CAG fans and not the type of people who just go out and buy a polini engine and bolt it in. We will make these engines fly and once they do we will be building our own WET nitrous system to finish her off, aswell as hand beaten aluminium body shell courtesy of MISFIT74 who is also on this forum now.
Nice talking to you all, glad we found this forum and its a pleasure to be on here.

Hi Jeff, if u gonna do a 2 engine drag then stick with the same style frame and put the engines side by side 180 degrees out and link the crank shafts. A guy has already done it on YOUTUBE and this way you keep your weight down, which will save you remaking the frame to fit them inline. 2 engines inline will create a very low power to weight ratio when you include the weight of your frame. Our WHEELIE BAR is only functioning as a foot rest because im lying down on the bike. The front end does go light on the power band but is nowhere near lifting.

Hi CAM, getting the impression your not short of a few dollars, and although I whole heartedly agree with what your saying, we are keeping ourselves (for now) within the design parametres of the CAG bikes so we can still call it a DRAG CAG. Its not really that hard to throw a big engine into something to make it go faster. Thats not to say that further down the road the engines wont change but not until we have exhausted all modification options on the CAGS.
Thanks for your reply, new to the forum but will check this place out and get to know you all better as time goes on.
Thanks again Tim.........
timmo478,
I would use the Bar to push it a the Land Speed Records! My whole Bike
will only weight 60-65 lbs., I am only 135lbs!! So, 14hp/200lbs, won't be a
Bad thing! I am cutting a stock frame in half, welding tubing, braces, etc,
it will only be 20" longer stock! How much does frame weight, it is way to
heavy, dude, I am running a shaft on bearings, real small, w/ a Clutch at
the end, between the Engs. One engine chain will run forward, & the.....
front eng back to the power shaft, third Clutch( adj. centrifical ) set at
5000 to 6000 RPM, so you can rev the Engs. before the 3rd clutch engages!! Every time I say NOS here everyone says it can't work right so
WE have prove them Wrong, have to keep the Pressure Down, on a 2 stroke!! I plan to try Nos later, first need something that Runs!
I too am try to stay on track w/ the Cag. Drag Bike Thing, but I went....
Big Bore HP which I plan to bring the Squish down to 14:1 or So! I also
just bought 16mm Walbros & manfs. v-stack air filter, etc. I am putting
my stock Mod ones on my stock bike & spare motor!! My to Drag Engines
only weight 6.45lbs. times 2, I am also using a PBU, duel disc front Fork,
it has suspention, $178, my rear wheel will be a Golf Tire & Rim, 18.5" ht.,
& 8.5" wide, Ribbed Tire, that will help increase the top speed!!
Keep up the Good Work Tim, PS, the EPR, stands for Empty Pockets....
Racing, so I have a budget Too!! Love the Video, & I started this project
cause my son did not want to ride it, and it is too small for me to ride,...
cause of my age, 45yrs of Riding, so I said why don't you make it longer,
and put two Engs., put foot pegs way out back, and lay down on it!!
EPR!

Well mate good luck in whatever you build. Everything starts with an idea and ours started out life on the back of a scrap piece of paper. Hope you end up having a frame thats light enough. I know that by the time we had finished getting our engines in and making it strong enough to be safe we were surprised what it weighed. You wont want to do 60 plus mph on a frame you can feel flexing beneath you lol.
Im the only guy that rides the bike aswell creating the idea for it and MISFIT74 and I have been mates since school. He's the brain stormer of the project who calculates our mods figures and does our machining.
Good luck mate, I know you'll keep us posted so look forward to seeing the bike.
