Weight doesn't affect your top speed, only how long it takes to get to top speed.

My L-7 fully moded goes 42 mph, mods are ADA head, ip2 pipe, lightened and balanced flywheel, carbon fiber reeds, ported stock carb with velocity stack and screen type aircleaner, oh and I almost forgot full circle crank. I weigh 160 lbs and I live at approx. 4500 ft above sea level, my AC C-1 goes 38 to 39 mph stock and my banshee is still in break in period (I've been busy) but it smokes them all, but thats for the water cooled forum LOL.

your hitting 42 mph with 6/68 gearing kifaru, I doubt that with your mods, thats like hitting 14500 RPMS WITH LOAD, Thats AMAZING, I doubt any cag can do that!

Okay,

First off John its because of your sticky that I got my bike to do 42 mph, before reading it I had a bunch of s**t on my bike, I had to buy a bunch of new stuff after reading it, now for the no b/s part first off John my front pinion is a 7 tooth not a 6, so your right its not stock gearing second I used one of those police trailers (your going this speed) to clock it, and it showed 40 mph to 42mph all five times I rode past it, and second I'm totally new to all this stuff but John your bike has practically the same mods that I have on my bike and yours is a HF I was told that they can be a tad bit faster than the L-7s so how fast have you clocked your bike at, and where can you get a gps so that I can clock correctly, at the beginning of this thread no one said that it had to be clocked by a gps, I clocked mine as correctly as possible, and was simply answering the question as honest as possible, its not my fault if some guys have a cag that will only go 25 mph, sheez, I also do not have any one to race so I've been working on top speed not off the line speed, so its top speed is good but, off the line well you know. And since I got my AC C-1 and my banshee I've been a little preoccupied with them, hey thanks guys for being so nice to a new guy, sheez,
Joe

oh ok, thats more reasonably with 7/68 over 40 isnt that hard, only about 11.5K with load to get 40 mph, I would get 42 with 7/68 since im hitting 12000 rpms with load, so now im hitting 35-36 on stock gearing, Im waiting for the police speed trailer to turn on, since right now its off, I want to clock my bike, but I want to sell it more, so I can get an x7 from flea market...lol

Well I'm no kid I'm 31 years old own my own business and have a friend who owns a machine shop, and I understand that a lot of people lie but to sit around and wait for a post that sounds a tad bit untruthfull just to flame someone well, how mush time do you have on your hands, if someone is going to lie it only hurts them i.e. their bike really only goes 25mph, and half of these people on here we will never even meet so who cares, those of us who want real information will get it and we all know who is stretching the truth and who is not.

I seriously doubt you got your h/f cag to do 0-40 in under 4 seconds. 40 may be possable on a h/f cag but you would need a lot of room to get it up to that speed. Keep in mind most eurobikes can't do 0-40 in 4 seconds

Not flaming anyone but there is no age for liers credible or not. Sometimes cold hard facts is what will make people actually consider what is truthful or fictional. Questions will only arise if the mods presented do not fit the performance stated.
