C1 stock chain and universal sproket

Anybody else had problems with their c1's original chain fitting a larger sproket. I'm not talking about length but rather the chain to the teeth. I've got a Tai chi and the stock chain only fits for about 3 inches around my new universal sproket (from DC) before the teeth don't match up to the chain. Any of you WC C1 guys had this problem.

BTW I went from the original 68 tooth sproket to a 73 tooth sproket. It fits the new Zocchi pinion but not the sproket.

The stock chains are very inconsistent in link to link length. I tried to use an AMS with a stock chain and there were spots on the chain it wouldn't roll smoothly into the sprocket teeth and in spots would roll up on the sprocket. I replaced the chain with a quality RK unit and the fit is PERFECT

Don't have this problem with my C1 but I did have the same problem with a new L7 I bought.
It's definitely the chain.I also ordered another stock chain and had the same results.
Make sure you buy a quality chain as banzai stated.
