Re: c5 pocket

How can we get that guy to sell to the U.S Pegdrag? Dang if only I had some hook ups . You lucky son-of-a-

Question, where is the water pump belt located? Its internal I'm guessing. I think my C5 has the 19mm Dell rep. it has the round black barrel and the needle, but for some reason the needle doesn't move with the barrel. Motor runs fine too. So far, so good for break-in, only thing I had to do was tighten up everything, adjust brakes, and chain.

This is a serious bike, my cag will get raped by this thing. I couldn't believe the pull from it. Everyone is right, ALL IT WANTS TO DO IS WHEELIE... For anyone thats new to pbs, DO NOT underestimate this machine. Its serious fun though.

Re: c5 pocket

Yeah man, your one of us screamers now!!! Well it's not a needle but a hollow tube with holes on the piston side of the tube, the air rushing by sucks the gas out of the bowl, and the holes get bigger as the slide moves up. I think. I just put one on my big-bore 53cc cag(lil' Ninja) with the 20 ounce N2O bottle($8.50 to fill)

Sorry to say, but I just bought another C5 tonight. $410.00 can. for bike and ship. & tax total.

Maybe we can make a deal at the border.lol

Tsunamibikes.com will send you one for a fair price.

Re: c5 pocket

remove the three allen screws holding on the pullstarter and then remove it, now the big silver thing you see is the flywheel, one end of a black O-ring is on a small pulley shaped bit on the back of the flywheel (you cant see it), the other end of the O-ring is connected the the waterpump pulley (the smaller of the two round silver things )..

the needle surly is moving with the barrel or the bike would be really really slow, but not seeing the tip of the needle at full throttle is a sign that you need to adjust the throttle on your handle bars (or at the carb end) to "snug up" the cable so it lifts everything all the way up..

here is a beautiful picture that WILL clear at least a few things up for you both..

http://www.dellorto.co.uk/editor/upl...s/PHBGdiag.pdf

and yes i know "dont call me surly"...

Re: c5 pocket

Hey guys, the old guy just turned senior member, lets celibrate by having a nap. lol

I'll have a look at the belt tomorrow to see if it's even there and if it is can it be tightened. And can I use a reg. O-ring as a belt if I got the right size?

Thanx for the info nickj, Be back in the morrow.

Re: c5 pocket

it's in there and it's probably fine but it's best to check, A small "window" can be cut into the pull start cover to enable viewing with the pull start attached. but it's REALLY easy to just pull it off real quick, since you have it off check the coil's gap too..

Congrats, your no longer a troll!! I let my bike do all the screaming just so you know.

I guess their was no way in hell I would have been that lucky with the carb. I haven't gotten a chance to take apart the carb yet, bike is running awesome, thanks for the tips guys.

Where is a good place I can buy goodies for my bike, beside PBU, I know some don't like their services. They have alot of I candy though.

Re: c5 pocket

its all china junk you need real blata stuff like o rings and needle bearing etc.. some of you who have bought the c5 or c2 with the bbk dont think that needle bearing will shatter on you but guess what? its the same one used in the c1's!!!! its a ticking time bomb waiting to destroy your internals which you'll then find out the bikes may be cheap but not the motors!! better get it fixed guys.

pannonsports or pannonmotorsports something of the kind carries your blata stuff.

Re: c5 pocket

Good info there sr20hardbody, I'll keep it on file in my brain. Everyone tells that horror story, so if she blows up real good, then I have an excuse to get some authentic B1 parts from Blata. It will be ok just to shop around for parts now and order them so I'll have them to install if/when it happens. Thanx, a bunch. The knowledgestick told me about that wrist pin business long before I got my C5. Just got another one too. A Repsol Honda style to go with the Ducati style I got 3 wks ago. They are like night and day to the a/c cags.

Got you beat Pegdrag; I just won a blue one for $399.98 Canadian all in! On e-bay, always fight for the first one to close when there are others closing within a short time; most everyone gives up on the first auction believing that they can simply jump on the next one. Problem is, everyone does the same thing and creates a panic on the last one posted. Happened in this case; first one went cheap (mine) next one was $100 more and the third was $175 more than I paid!

Re: c5 pocket

Not such a bad deal eh. Yeah others are paying more now, and some of the guys in here have payed more. Great to hear, and you'll like the bike, it's pretty quick. And it's wierd, I got the second bike for the same price as the first one. But no feedback.

Re: c5 pocket

Excellent deat, eh! But the lesser expensive yellow or blue ones don't go as fast. lol. Yeah my 2nd one was only missing a wind. screw too, and a little rubbing on the paint. A little dab of automotive goop (silicone adhesive) on those pesky seat pad tabs that always stick out helps.

Break it in propper, then go out and scare the hell out of yourself.

Hey Raven, how's yours running so far?

Re: c5 pocket

i'm going to take it out today for break in just use 10w-30 oil and put about 150ml per tank of it in for the break in atleast than after that ill start using synthetic and putting in about 80ml...im going to run about 3-4 tanks through it before i really start opening up on it and one question...does this thing have a gas or choke switch at all?? or is the gas just always on lol...i dont know anything about theese little things other than how to ride them and start them...the front fairing is a real pain for turning so im just gna leave mine off for a bit and that coolant tank is in a horrible spot completely wrecks the left turn lol...see you guys l8r.

Re: c5 pocket

NO!! don't use motor oil, get some proper non-syn. 2-stroke oil at 25-30:1 for break-in, it's made for high revs, motor oil ain't. You could make a mess of things with no/or bad lubrication.

Re: c5 pocket

WOW....this bike packs some punch...I think it wheelies more than my 125cc dirtbike!!!lol. One thing i noticed though is the vibration on the upper fairing is a very easy fix...all you have to do is stick some sort of cushion between the upper fairing closer to the back and the little metal that looks like a handle at the back of the seat section when the top fairing is off...all i did was i ductaped a few rolled up pieces of paper and stuck it in there and it made a huge difference....so far the aluminum tape under the gas tank is working like a charm and i might get to take the bike out tmrw if it doesn't rain...damn lower mainland!! lol
