Dellorto PHVB 20.5 on a B1R.

I've got a 20.5mm Dellorto PHVB carb and want to fit it to my B1 Rep. I know its perhaps not the best carb to choose , it might be a bit big , but I've read others have fitted 21mm carbs so it should be possible .
Anyone already done this ?
What size jets would you suggest?
What sort of performance can I expect?
I've got an 80 main and 45 idle fitted.
The only other mod are HolmeTech Racing reeds.

All info much appreciated.

nice, im not sure about what jets you should use, but that big of a carb should be good for long tracks. might not have enough power comming out of the corner's keep us informed, i would like to know how it turns out..

Re: Dellorto PHVB 20.5 on a B1R.

it will work ok i use 19s on the modified c1s. I dont like to recomend jets as then people hold me responsible for blowing up their bikes You will have to modify the stock manifold unless you want to shell out 50ish bucks for a blata manfiold. just freeze the manifold then stick it in some boiling water the metal piece will come right out..voila

Re: Dellorto PHVB 20.5 on a B1R.

Hi There,
I fitted this carb to my B1 rep and have ended up with a 50 pilot and 86 main jet (although in time i may come down on the main jet as it's slightly rich).
It seems to go really well on the outdoor tracks that are bigger where you use more wide open throttle .I'm not so sure it is better on the shorter/indoor tracks.
Hope this helps ,
Alan.

Re: Dellorto PHVB 20.5 on a B1R.

Thanks for the info. Look like I'll need to get another carb manifold and modify this to fit the carb.
I'll post again when I've tried ti

Thanks Again

my neighbors do think im strange since i have an oven out in my garage. Also doing 50mph pulls on a shifter kart in the neighborhood doesnt earn me any brownie points lol

haha i know the feeling, riding wheelies and doing rolling burnouts up my street on our crotch rockets is common-place when the warm weather is here.. my neighbors really love me and my buds..plus terrorizing the neighborhood with 6-10 of us on pocketbikes is quite a sight to see
