Re: dellorto replica really bad??

not me they screwed my order up 3x and my bros once its like they're all in it to help you but once they get their money they're like ehhh we'll get to it when we feel like it. that and the pricing and the lies!!!! i tried buying 4 chain breaker pins to avoid shipping for each one they said they only had one left in stock so i said ok i'll buy it. i then told my bro to call them and ask the same thing he did they told him the same exact thing instead of saying ohh sorry we just sold our last one b/s! they just want you to pay shipping for everyone of them and its like $1 to ship but they charge $$$$$$$$$$$$$

now these are the problems i've found with the dell rep 19mm that kept it from running the bike. the choke inner rubber piece that seals the choke hole is like 1mm too long it needs trimmed which will allow the o ring on the top of the choke to seal so theres 2 problems in one wit the choke. next is theres 4 bolts that hold the bowl on one of them is too long itsthe one that collides with the air/fuel mixture screw so if you tighten that bowl screw all the way down the air/fuel screw gets jammed/ruins the threads. all you need is a shorter bowl screw. now needle clip this part can easily be overlooked! only reason i caught it is cuz i had the real dell in one hand and can see the diff. the little circle spot the c clip is supposed to rest in is too small cuz the c clip is too big you can either get a real dell c clip or ream that hole out bigger allowing the clip to rest in its position which allows the needle to go down into the atomiser all the way. this would explain why nobody can ever get theres started.

and last but not least is the slides! where the real dell has only one way the slide can drop in the rep has 2 slits on each side allowing the slide to be installed backwards well mine came backwards i had to turn the slide around. these are the issues with mine and now it fires first pull and idles nicely i've got a carmel colored plug on idle, half and wot plug chops. besides all of the above all i had to do was install a 98 phbg main jet.

now i know you're thinking why not have done all that with the real dell instead? because i already bought the dell rep when i bought it it wasnt $35 it was $70+ so i was determined to make it work! that and if stuch was capable of making 3 of them run (lucky bastard) then i had to also.

Re: dellorto replica really bad??

Thanks for useful information!

I'll probably end up with a dell rep.

Re: dellorto replica really bad??

sr20, is the correct atomizer the one with holes or not holes? mine originally came with the holes and i heard that the bike would not run with this setup? basically you had to fill them in with solder? now i ordered one without and it for sure would not fit my rep? it wasn't long enough to reach the threads inside so i ended up filling the base down until it would finally bite? not sure if that was the right thing to do? if not i am going to the real dell?? i got it in the bike and it started but again it wanted to rev to the moon! so i went and got some sealer and sealed up around the reed block and the manifold and will see if that helps if not i am betting that since i got the wrong atomizer the needle isn't going down far enough to close the fuel off enough? and i am going to say F it I'm getting the real deal to make things easier! i already have half the real part anyways! again i think i got the one that a 2yr old was working on!

Re: dellorto replica really bad??

well most on here said they had to seal up the holes to get it running i totally forgot what the rep has but i think it has the holes and mine runs fine.

hey i got an idea!!!!! i have a stock banshee carb and those who have ran a stock banshee carb on a c1 had nothing but good things to say about it. might wanna give it a thought cuz the sha jets are a direct fit and i have them all! this carb slips directly into your 19mm rep manifold. you might need to order the $2 velocity stack from ddm to fit a proper filter though.

ohh and i still havent got my polini cog to work! for those in need of a ratchet wheel the chinese banshee cog is far far better then the italian polini! italians aint got nothin on chinese pull starts thats for sure! for one the chinese one has a way wider slot for a thicker premium pull cord the polini's is a shoe string no wonder they snap! but of coarse the polini is made of a higher grade plastic so the teeth prolly last longer. i want a billet cnc machined copy of a banshee cog! how much you think it'll cost to have one made at a machine shop?

Re: dellorto replica really bad??

SR20 maaate how the heck do you manage to have so many problems i cant recall anyone EVER Breaking a starter pawl on a polini or bzm motor unless the starter pawls fly out and shred everything. just give the motor to someone to fix! (this was aj oke btw :P)

dunno bout your "polini" parts but the one i got next to me definitely has a cord equally as thick as the rep. but the chinese gp3 pullstarts are better then the genuine ones :P

the phva or vb which ever it is, is a pretty good replica actually. i didnt mind it but the phgb is a better carb once working

Re: dellorto replica really bad??

well i'll have to take a pic and show you the diff but i dont have any motor problems other then that what i do need is a gear change! lol

and yep Acurry what i got is the phva rep i believe and its simple as hell to set up! its also all aluminum so no plastic bowls. you'll need to use the cable elbow from the 19mm though cuz the elbow on this carb broke!
