Engine

I want to learn a little bit more about engines.

Now I see a very expensive pocket bike saying 39.8cc 5 port engine.

What is a port? Thanks.

Re: Engine

It is called a transfer port, basically is the channel that transfer gas mixture to the combustion chamber for the engine to burn. Usually more port=more power.

Re: Engine

The 110cc is a 4-stroke motor, Which is quite a bit different than the 39/49cc water cooled 2-strokes we use.

Nick.

Re: Engine

the 110cc will be in a super bike which is mid sized.minimoto bikes will have 47-49cc 2 stroke engines which require gas and oil to be mixed.4 stroke is just like a car just fill with fuel.
