Having broken the seat panel on my FF Cag the first day that I got it, I decided to take no chances with my C1. I fibreglassed the inside of the seat panel with one of those GRP kits that you can get at motor stores (Halfords here in the UK) for about $16.00. I also filled all of the recess parts of the unit with Chemical metal (epoxy steel) and painted the thing with a nice BMW Montreal Blue Metalic paint. The seat unit is now about 10 times stronger than it was before (and 3 times as heavy - not that it weighed much to begin with!) I would be happy to pick the back of the bike up with the rear mud guard no probs, where this previously would have snapped the thing clean off.

As you can see in the picture, there is a grey rectangle on the bottom of the gas tank. This is JB Weld (one of my favourite things to use, **** its so strong). I rubbed down the tank with some wet&dry and then masked off the shape and applied 2 coats. I did this to preven heat from the Pipe melting the tank, as on my bike, the pipe was about 4mm from the tank.
I will fibreglass the entire fairing next with 3-4 layers of GRP and some chemical metal. I hope that you like what I have done.
James.
