My experience on C1 and GRC RR 8.5

Hey all~

Well at Saturdays practice at CAPRA at Virginia, I got to ride my new GRC RR. Now just new to pocketbike racing, I had just purchased my first bike a C1 end of last year. Quality aside-which is no comparison I learned alot by riding my second bike.

The stock C1 has descent power and with the new sava's recently installed, My C1 felt secure and stable at speed in corners. Now understand my experience has been little riding PB's so I go with what I know. Once on the GRC I noticed a nice power increase...not overwhelming or even hugely substantial....but easily noticeable. It seemed smaller than the C1 and seemed it wanted to fall over easier into a turn...almost a bit too quick TOO WHAT I WAS USED TOO. Im sure in time the C1 will feel slower and heaiver.

In my opinion being a newbie with 2 similiar bikes-tho one is "cheap" and the "expensive" (watercooled-roughly same horpsepower-cc's-mid bikes)...although I paid alot more for the GRC....WHEN the bikes were performing properly ....I've to come see that the C1 for its price is a real bargain for getting into what pocket bike racing feels like. Now that I own the Italian bike......Id love to keep the c1 to see how it would do with some commitment to practice and becoming a good rider against more expensive bikes. Like I said, this was not about quality-and resale value etc.etc...the C1 with its looks-potential-upgradeablity im my opinion an awesome bargain for those looking to get into pocket bike racing without breaking the bank!! Money no problem=get the European~

You are mostly preaching to the converted . It's always good to have some first hand comparisons though.

This was a good, honest review. Great job. Glad to see you turned to the "dark side" of the force

Nice write up!!!! The C1 is a great entry bike. Just make shure you get one for ablout 500 or less then add either Sava's or PMT tires as a minimum.

THANKS NW mini-snowboard.........the common thread on this site is WE ALL love to ride these addictive little boogers! I see no reason to build walls between the PB community

I need no reconfirmation or justification of any purchase or decision I make. If there is someone out there that has ridden ALL pocket bikes at length-with great skill-with every new modification done to all available bikes....then I guess they would have a total understanding of our beloved sport....Unless thats you....enjoy the process of learning and what may be our TRUTH today...changes with the next experience!....till then..share you experiences....but they dont need to be Gospel~
