my new elite 13 rep. what to do?

just ordered my new blata e13 rep. just wondered what i should check out before start up and break in.

so far i have an aftermarket fuel filter and clear fuel line, an ngk b8es plug, distilled water for the radiator, 25:1 91 octane gas with bel-ray, i need to adjust my brakes, clutch, throttle, and chain.

i have a genuine del orto 14/14 SHA off of one of my polini a/c engines- should i install the real del? i have heard that it can give me some more power. i also need to know how to measure my squish, and how to adjust squish. i also have a del-orto rep 19mm phbg. if im right, i need to buy a bigger manifold for this carb.

Re: my new elite 13 rep. what to do?

nice little bikes when setup, hard keeping the front wheel down, lol

seeing as its a replica i would strip the hole bike down,,every last nut and bolt

1,replace all the nut&bolts on the bike because the chinese stuff is poop and could snap under load

2,replace all bearings for decent ones because the chinese ones drag and dont spin freely

3,rebuild the brakes

4,rebuild the engine because if you dont it will not run to its full performance and will blow up,leak or seize (they all do)

5,replace the fuel lines and fit a decent fuel filter,,again the chinese stuff causes problems

iam sure ive missed something but if you dont do any of these to a replica mini moto it will brake,,,for sure

The del carb would be a good idea it is more tunnable meaning you can get the right jets for it, the china carb is hit and miss on finding the right jets. Also I would order you blata carbon reeds. Just like hkr said the bearings are a big gain of reliability on these bikes I use SKF on every thing if you need some I can hook you up. Also don't go crazy with the squish lower is not always better on the blata and rep engines, .70mm is perfect gives good tourqe and good top end. That 19 will fit in the intake but you will have to cut the insert out that the 14/14 slides on or you could do it right a buy the blata intake. If you need any thing hit me up.
