new cylinder head for the c1

Well I finished a new cylinder head for my c1 at work last night. cost about $35.00 to make 15 for the sparkplug tap and 20 for the bar of aluminum (have extra aluminum now). I put the head back on the bike with 1/2 of my base gasket -.030 so now the top of the piston comes up flush with the top of the jug. On the down stroke the side of the piston sits flush with the bottom of the lowest port Pretty much dead nuts where it should have been from the factory! I also gasket matched the jug and the crank case! I have .030 clearance between the piston and the new aluminum head. The dome on the new head is .750 The new head also doesn't have a .060 step on it( I cut a 5 deg angle instead. The depth of the dome is the same .250 though. The old cylinder head insert had .0015 crush on it to keep it sealed( I increased the crush to .003 due to the added compression) All I can say is after putting the engine back together is holy s**t it has a lot of compresstion now. The nice thing is the squish is set perfect and I can't see any way a stock cylinder head could produce this type of compression even if the squish was maxed out and the head was decked! B4 when I cranked the engine over it was like starting my 4 hp lawnmower. Now If feels good and tight. I hope with the new high compression aluminum head, aluminum intake(starts @ 17.5mm and opens to 19mm) and badazz 17mm carb the engine will produce some good HP! 10-12

I have one question though. Any1 try the new badazz fiberglass reeds(they are 3/16 of and inch longer then the stock metal 1's. I think they bind? I need to cut them down? The bike idles good but dies when the throttle is given? If the throttle is worked the bike will get up to 20 mph slow but then take off like a greased monkey! Also the aluminum spacer? I have 1 but do they work? With the larger carb and intake do you still new 1? does blata use them for racing?

I will test out my bike when the weather gets better and let every1 know how my mods do. If I get the gains that I should I will prob start producing aluminum intakes, aluminum heads, and frame sliders.

Sorry for my typing I'm not tarded just a lill slow. I mainly use the computer to look up porn and/or ebay. HaHaHa

Take it easy or any way you can get it

Nice stuff! Lead the way my friend. That's some great work there. My guess is that the pull-start will need to be upgraded now! Lol!!!

If you start production of the intakes, how much will they cost?

I really like the "blingfactor" on that one

good work aaron.. use your stock reeds to trim the reads a little. we do this cause sometimes they fray on the ends.
