throttle sticking

I just got done installing a Dell'Orto SHA 16mm carb on my c1 and right when I started it up it didn't want to rev at all. Now I got it revving, but the throttle sticks and stays at whatever rpm I peaked it out at. I'm unsure of what the problem is so any help would be great. Perhaps I hooked the throttle linkage up wrong?

hhhhhhhmmmmmmm it sounds like its kinked or the cable inside the carb is mashed up or the cable at the start of the throttle is not lubed up and this causes no sping back so take the black protecter off and put some wd-40 or some spray like that but not to much because it can go inside the line and into your carb and this engines don't like wd-40 if you know wat i mean
hope this helps and gets youe bike kicking some ***

Did you swap the 45 degree elbow for the 90 degree elbow on top of the carb?

If you don't, the cable will bind. Try putting a little grease on the cable where it goes through the elbow. Did you push the throttle tube too far onto the bar? Make sure your cable is routed around the opposite side of the headstock.

Banzai !!!!!!!!!

I got it, I just took it apart where the cable goes in and I think it was just the spring binding up, but I got it working now.
