I'm hoping its jus the reeds outa place.....I'll find out soon. I ran both clutches on saturday. Stock polini and polini backing w/ the BZM Carboniums. WOW big difference between the 2. I'll be restocking on the BZM shoes after I kill the rest of the polini shoes. My drum is STILL silver as new, no glazing at all
I also need to stock up on some more sprockets and pinions.
HSI, you still running with the stock drum? or is it a Blata or Zocchi drum?

Got me a new upgrade: exhaust heat wrap, it makes sure no exhaust heat can radiate to the radiator, 70% less radiation says the box i got it in, and saves fuel and produces more hp....
For y'all who have problems with overheating on short track's ore indoor track's (should save sum degrees)
My bike was alway's a bit jumpy so i made a steering damper on it hope it's better now.
Jsigone did you get the bike running aggain?? did you find the problem?, had it anything to do with the timing of the port's?
And did that reed spacer bring any?
Do you have a tacho on it , can you tell me how many rpm's it makes? yours should be one of the faster c1's!!!(i hope , after all that $$$)
Npereira did you ever try the two staged reed's?(1x 0.3mm and 1x 0.5mm) what was the result of it?
Still trying to keep the thread alive,by now it's almost a tunning manual
Hello everybody,(sorry my english but im spanish), i have changed my clutch, now i have the polini clutch with zocchi kevlar shoes, i have changed the carburator now dellórto17,5, now the pocket goes better than when i bought, but at low revolutions dont go, i have read the "squish", i dont understand nothing, anybody speaks spanish?, has anybody pics that how to do the squish? how can i reduce the distance?, plzzz i need your help.

I don't have a tach yet. the tinytach is crap. I'll prolly pick up a GPT tach soon. My jets should be here late next week I hope. Gonna pick up some heat wrap at the local shop when I go lookin for new gloves.

we could always use another wrencher on the forum!!!
will you show us the video later?
The more w/c B1 cags come on the market the sooner the real tunning parts like exhaust's cilinders carb's reed's... come out to ,even original blata part's aren't realy "tuned" and very pricy.
that said ,would it run faster on a real blata cilinder? do any big cilinder company's sell zeta or mallossi cilinders for blata b1's
ya i raced my GEM with both reeds and i had alot of low and mids. i couldnt get it to rev higher. it would top out.my gearing is 7-68. it is still fast but not fast enough. going to play with the exhaust and switch out both reeds to .5mm.. also gonna put a 19mm carb on there.
I just got my C1 and I tore it down immediately and pulled both head gaskets and reassembled. flushed system with water and then mixed H2O and water wetter. Ran the bike tonite at an indoor race track that we race at weekly and (parking lot)dragged a GRC RSR 12+ hp and a Blata elite 9-10hp. First on the small track the bike never overheated and the clutch never failed, it stayed consistently sucky every lap, it engages at way too high of an rpm. The drag race was most impressive I beat the Blata on low and high end but was equally beaten by the GRC. My C1 would appear to be around 9-10 hp after simple mods. Will be updating the clutch and tires very quickly.

It was more likely your high clutch engagement that gave you that impression.... unfortunately impressions are usually incorrect, it's a human thing.
Try lowering your clutch engagement (back off evenly on the adjustment screws) to get a better pull from your clutch. Also, try some races against true 10hp bikes (DM's, GRC, ZPF proddys, etc) and see if you have the same impression, if you hang with them on both the corners and the straights then you'll know you're there.

btw, How did you do on the indoor track?
I rode bungee guys bike and the second I gave it the gas I got off because I thought his clutch was shot. When my 3 shoe zocchi clutch kicks in on my grc you know it. When I take off I can't give it full throttle because the front end comes up. On the stock c1 clutch you go to take off and the thing feels like it is at max rpm for awhile and then it slowely starts to take off. I think it will be a pretty decent bike once he gets a good clutch in it. Can't really compare them when it has that ****ty of a clutch in it.
Next time we drag we need to get on a street some where that we can go strait for a while. I will try to lean over the front and give it full throttle so you can see what it is really like. It is kind of like our street bikes. Sure a 600 can keep up for the first 330 or so, but that is because we can't give it full throttle. Atleast not on a stock wheel base and hight.

Yep, if you want to race the C1 the first "best" thing to do is to upgrade to the Zocchi 3-shoe clutch. You should see a big improvement.
The second thing you might want to consider (especially if you're having trouble) is to replace the water pump system. The C1 comes with a very inefficient simple pully with an o-ring behind the flywheel. The B1 system uses a gear and a drive belt with teeth. If you're not having cooling problems don't worry about it. If you are, change might be good.
